Picking up adderall prescription question

Has anyone else gotten treated like a drug addict when picking up there adderall prescription? I don't often abuse my adderall (I mean who doesn't sometimes) but still everytime I go in to refill, they are snotty and if I ask questions they act like I'm just going to abuse it anyways. I hate it. They are all nice to everyone else then roll there eyes when they see what my script is for. Any other experiences?

I never get any flack from anyone when picking up my script. Ive gone to ~5 different pharmacies so far and they were all very friendly and cooperative. I'm sure some of the pharmacists are probably thinking, "oh great another college kid getting legal speed" but idc what they think as long as they give me my script.

Sorry you've had such bad luck, maybe you live in an area with more people diagnosed ADHD and the pharmicists are just sick of seeing so many adhd scripts, or maybe most pharmicists are just pricks.

Try a new pharmacy maybe? Never had that problem, even when I had dreadlocks and was filling scripts for Dexedrine, Valium, Sonata, Suboxone, and some other random shit at the same time (I had a very accomodating doctor), nobody looked askance. They never even asked for ID which is apparently a requirement of state law. Maybe it was because I was paying cash or maybe in NYC people just don't give a fuck. Like how you can buy beer and liquor if you look over 12.

As a pharmacist, I can attest to what falsified is saying. There are flat out assholes in any profession, pharmacy included, so it may just be that. It could also be pressures being brought on by their corporate overlords that gives them this piss poor attitude towards people getting Adderall. I personally just try to do what I was trained to do. Talk to my patients about the benefits and risks of the drug, answer any questions and resolve clinical and clerical issues. I only judge when I feel the treatment is improper for any various reasons or the patient has a history of misuse/abuse or the doctor is a known quack or notified me that a pad has been stolen. And usually by judging I mean scrutinizing the script and having professional conversations with the prescriber and patient alike on why I feel the med is innapropriate.

If they are treating you bad, you can always change pharmacies (let your doctor and new pharmacy know so they dont think you are jumping around) or complain to the manager, owner or corporate level of the pharmacy.

^^ I wish all pharmicists were as professional as you Kittycat. It's like the pharmicists that OP is talking about just got into the profession to keep drugs out of the hands of whoever they deem "drug abusers."

Question for you Kittycat, is it frowned upon to switch up pharmacies? you made it sound like it is unless I'm misinterpreting your meaning.

It isnt frowned upon if you have an issue as the poster does. But with controlled drugs, switching could become problematic as it could give the appearance of shopping. Even for non-controlled drugs it can be hazardous as the pharmacy wont have a history and cant screen for interactions but its not uncommon mostly because of insurance and pricing.

I don't have an Adderall script, but I do have one for suboxone. I've never had anyone in the pharmacy treat me like an addict and I have the prescription because I'm an addict. Then again there's multiple suboxone doctors in my town and the surrounding towns and pretty much all are at their 100 person maximum for patients, so there's probably a lot of people who pick up suboxone there.

your paranoid bro, they don't really care, and if they do roll their eyes, so what?

enjoy
