So last night me and a few friends went shroom hunting. My friend tells me the ones that turn "blue" are shrooms, and to leave the others alone. Is this statement true? Where can I go to bring up pictures of these things to look them up. I'm not about to eat these things w/o knowing wtf they are.

...here the night is gone thats ok, I will rock We will rock all through the day
You will see the light you can always call my name and i'll be there

Your best resource on the web is the shroomery (www.shroomery.org). They have some really knowledgable folks there you can probably answer 99% of your questions.
Now unless your friend is an expert 'shroom picker, I wouldn't trust him or the 'shrooms you pick. Wait until you totally know what they look like and how to react to various stimuli then go on your way. Remember there are quite a few different kinds of psychedelic 'shrooms out there that look different and react different.
In short, I wouldn't eat any 'shroom I pick, and I don't recommend you do either, unless like I said before your friend is a mycologist or damn close.
Also, this belongs in psychedelic drugs, not other drugs.

Dear god.... please go get those identified by someone before you eat them.... please! The blue stain test is by no means a way go "figuring out" which fun-guy to eat. There are mushrooms that stain blue that will kill you. Get some books, talk to folks and learn, then eat.

Moved to PD..
