Hi,
I tried something last night and I think it was called pherenol (ferenol). It comes in liquid form (in a drop bottle) and is taken with liquid to mask the bad taste. The high is similar to GHB, but it is much cleaner and a lot less chance of passing out. I was just wondering if anyone took this before and what its name is...THANKS! :)

dihydrofuranone = GBL. Did you just have to eat a drop, or was it more like several mL of this substance?

The liquid was clear colored and was not ghb or gbl. The guy that gave it to us said it was called "pherenol" It came in a dropplet bottle. He dropped serveral drops in a water bottle and told us to drink it. It was clear colored and tasted nothing like GHB or GBL. It was really bad tasting....any clues what it might be.... :)

if your from la or orange county what you did was gbl. it probably came from a bottle with a dropper right?
ps i just read your post more and it was either gbl or 1,4 butinol (i don't know how to spell it)
it was gbl nasty ass taste huh?

The poster said it tasted nothing like GBL or GHB (which taste bad as you're tasting the unreacted GBL) .. I would opt for 1,4 or one of those other chemicals you smart people already named..

1,4 bd is butanDIOL. Since most people who take the shit can't spell or say it properly, this is probably what you got. Feranol sounds like a brand name for a drug (or something you'd say when trying to say butandiol when fucked up).
By the way, taking something when someone tells you to drink it and you don't know what it is is generally a bad idea.

Pherenol = GBL
Pherenol is the street/trade name in the OC/LA area for the raw, undiluted form of GBL. The typical dosage would be 1.0 to 1.5 ml, which would be an eyedropper about 1.5 to 2.0 inches long.
If you have taken products like Renewtrient before, you may remember the characteristic taste.
I assume you were dosed from 2 oz. or 4 oz. brown bottles. I've seen them before.
Once again, Pherenol = GBL, believe me.

See, thats the thing - we CAN'T because Ihave heard plenty of other convincing arguements for "Pherenol" being other things... a search of the vast and never-ending interweb didn't turn up anything conclusive to back ANYONES claims - again, it's slang, we can only do as much as we can with this... and we have done too much!

Hi,

The spelling on this isn't clear because it is a made up name. I have spelled it "faranol". But you won't find it in any chemical catalog under that name. What it is, is a precursor to GHB (turns to GHB in your body). So it has effects like GHB (if your familiar with that). It can be a fun party drug with short lived effects (about an hour) with no hangover. The Chemical Names/Alternative Names for the analog GBL are gamma-butyrolactone, furonone di-hydro, and dihydrofuranone, with the last two thought to be the connection to the name faranol, which was likely created by sellers of the party drug to prevent purchasers/users of the substance from discovering it was a relatively inexpensive substance that could be purchased under those names. These are precursors for the production of GHB, and metabolize into GHB. The Chemical Names/Alternative Names for the analog BD are 1,4-butanediol, tetramethylene glycol, sucol-B, and butylene glycol. While this sounds relatively harmless, it's danger is that it is a CNS depressant that can shut your body down completely, if taken in excess. Although I have taken it a number of times without consequence, I also know many who were unable to moderate their use and would commonly pass out for 30 to 60 minutes or more while partying (couldn't be awakened, which we called G-ing out) and at least two people personally who tended to "overdo" it, and tragically ended up dead as a result of this. So it's nothing to be taken lightly. So be careful. And remember - everything in moderation - even water can kill you if you drink too much. So don't be that guy!
