Perhaps I will grow up to realize
that she was right, and I wrong
all along.
In some distant place,
light years and light years away,
(a bar, a rave, a cell)
I will stop what I am doing,
raise my head,
and say, "So..."
Perhaps she, with her endless knowledge of suns and moons,
was right,
and I, in my infantile ideology,
was wrong, all along.
Walking down the road I am travelling
in this particular time and place,
I know that what I am doing is right for the me that is in this particular time and place.
Perhaps this makes me right,
and her wrong,
all along.
