So this really piss's me off. espically when it's that persons to share and they are all txting on their fancy ass iphone. I ignore everything they say because I just dont feel it. I went to a fancy CA meeting tonight in a wealthy part of town and EVERYONE was on their phone texting away, the shit they were saying didn't relate to the topic. The topic was about finding your higher power and the people that were txt-sharing were like "i just found out my cat died, and i got to get grochies after the meeting". i'm sitting in the back like WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!.. here i am, trying to hear some shit that I need to hear in a meeting and I didn't get a damn thing out of the meeting.

I'm starting to see it ALOT more now, everyone on their phones. just piss's me off.

Not to mention I almost got in a fight with someone I knew from way back, my room mate litterly pickd me up and threw me in the car before I had a chance to stomp his ass.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

anyway anyone feel the same way about people on their cell phones during a meeting??

yeah it really pisses me off...but then again, everything pisses me off.

i see alot of people texting during meetings, which i don't mind. as long as you're QUIET, then it doesn't bother me. but there are a lot of people that don't turn their phones off. even though at the beginning of the meeting, the chairperson says, "PLEASE TURN THE RINGERS ON YOUR CELLPHONE OFF!!!!!!!!!"

ive seen people answer their phone during meetings, and talk to the person right there. ive also seen people playing their music on their phones during the meeting too.

but just remember, you're the one that's doing good. you're doing the right thing. you're trying and want to get better...those people that do that shit, are most likely not there because they want to be, or because they want to get better. they aren't even paying attention, so they're not hearing the message. fuck em. they're gonna be the ones that go back out.

I used to do that when I was going to meetings I didn't like beause I was required to by my sober living. I had to go to 14 meetings a week and it got really monotonous. But I don't do it now because I only go to meetings when I want to and I get to pick them (my new sober living doens't have rules regarding meetings).

Some people go to meetings for reasons other than recovery... court ordered, DUI, sober livings, etc. But I guess it doesn't really bother me, I don't particularly care what other people are doing during a meeting unless they're speaking.

Mm I'm guilty of this, but only like in an emergency, like procuring a ride home from the mtg.. I guess its like they say "just keep your side of the street clean" even tho sometimes i have an urge to run over my neighbors garbage cans LOL.
