Passionflower In a Sleep Aid...

I'm trying to find some local sources for passionflower, for some mimosa root bark I have that I'd like to use orally. Could a product containing this:

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) (5:1) root extract...200 mg
standardized to contain 0.8% valerenic acid
Passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) (8:1) extract...200 mg
standardized to contain 3.5% flavonoids
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) (5:1) leaf extract...150 mg
standardized to contain 5% Rosemarinic acid
Hops (Humulus lupulus) (5:1) strobile extract...100 mg
standardized to contain 2.0% volatile oil

be used? I doubt it, with all the other ingredients. Is lemon balm also an MAOI? I thought it might be. I mean, how much would I have to take to get enough passion flower for sufficient inhibition? That's the key, because that shows how much of the other ingredients I'd have to take.

As far as I can see, most if not all are relaxing herbs, something that might not be too horrible on DMT.

Should I be able to find passion flower, syrian rue, or b. caapi in any herbal store?

I'm thinking the first two would be by far the more common. There's only two herbal stores here.

Passionflower you can probably find locally- I found a tincture at a vitamin shop. Syrian rue and Caapi you're gonna have to order online. I highly doubt any herbal store will have these.

Damn, I figured as much. Well, how much of the herb would I have to take, and with what amount of root bark?

I know it's pretty weak, relatively, so I probably need a lot.

I forget where I read it but yes passionflower is an MAOI. Problem is, if you want to use it as such you will have to consume a huge amount of it. I mean big. Can't gove you a number though lol. Syrian rue is a better bet and will be cheaper and more powerful. Passionflower sure is tasty though.

Edit: wait are you tryin to make mimosa active with this? At first you said sleep aid then in your last post it eludeds to using it with DMT. If just sleep I know from recent experience that passionflower does do that. I had mine come in a 'visionary tea' mix of herbs I bought locally. I can post the recipe if you like.

No, I was hoping to use it in an ayahuasca-analogue brew of some sort. Syrian Rue would take a while and I'd have to set up a PayPal again; it's just a hassle.

I read that passionflower contains the same MAOIs in Syrian Rue. I also read you'd need like 200 grams to make DMT orally active. But couldn't you just use extracts of specified concentration, or make your own? Isn't that logical? Sure, you need 200, compared to 2-4 grams, but you could still concievably dissolve the MAOI ingredients into a tea of some sort.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get the Syrian Rue or risk wasting a lot of root bark.

Yes get the rue. It's not that big of a deal if you know it will work. If you really want to try the passionflower, read up on it and ask people who know more. If it's a viable option, go for it. I'm curious to hear what that kind of Experience would be like anyway.
