As i have read and understand to some degree taking the humble panadole after a big night out on the drink is not the best idea for the liver or kidneys.

i was just wondering what time spans and when paracetamol should be used and not used, as after a large ish night on the drink/weed/speed/cocaine
how much damage is likely too occur

i usally wait a few hours untill after waking up, when i no longer feel the effects of said substances just too be safe.

also warned people in the past taking two panadoles before drinking isnt the best idea as the undue stress place upon the body just isnt worth it and the chance of liver damage, but usally am brushed aside or laughed at.

anyway what sort of trouble/damage could possibley occur if taking speed, drinking smoking weed or what have you and then having a panadole, too try and cure some of the undesired effects of the next day have

anyhelp would be great.

thanks

asprin for the win :) they even have tasty chewable ones now. try it :)

can lower the risk of heart related problems too (donno the actual percentage)

but do it!

TEAM Aspirin Go!

It won't cause any damage that they will notice until they are in their 40's and their doctors tell them their livers are failing.

^ Per the aspirin, yes it can help prevent clotting but for that you usually take a low dose everyday on the advice of your doctor.

Cracker: Probably not much, unless you have some liver problem to begin with. Marijuana and methamphetamine are fine, it's the alcohol that can really cause problems combined with paracetamol. Meth can, usually with long term heavy use though as far as I'm aware.

Lets assume that you really do need to wait until the amount of alcohol in your body is minimal before you can pop that panadol. See this page: http://www2.potsdam.edu/hansondj/DrivingIssues/1127227453.html

If your BAC was 0.15, then after 10 hours there should be zero BAC. Lets ignore the metabolites here...

As far as I'm aware, 0.15 is kinda high... so 10 hours after that session, you could probably take a panadol and not worry.

If you already have liver damage though, then you should avoid APAP of course and take nurofen.

also id like to hope i havent done much damage too my liver.

i dont drink or do anything else during the week, nor sundays

only on friday and saturday nights let a little lose, just dont want too be causing damage too my body that could otherwise be prevented with such little effort

i wouldnt consider myself an alcholic at all, although drinking too excess regally would be considered so.

typically the night would consist of few beers, 4-5 stubbies and a few joints, not ideal for partying or being awake or usefull, thats where the good old little white bag comes out too gee me up again, then back on the beers/speed too keep going and finishing off with a few more joints and bed.

so whats the best method too try and curb the pain of the unwanted hang over?

after a night out, usally do my best too get some sleep, (avoiding going sleepless via decisions made early in the night come in too play here )
also making sure im drinking after having a decent feed.
drinking as much water as i can before feeling uncomfortable, before sleep.
and getting stuck into some fruit/vitimins the next day and the good old paracetamol too curb the pain, any suggestions would be great
