Sometimes, ever since I can remember, I have had pain occasionally in my side when breathing. It comes on suddenly, and feels like something catches, or something... In the lungs. The pain is mostly in the side, but had been many places. I used to be able to get rid of it, by shallow, gentle breathing for a short period. When it goes back to normal, I often feel a small popping sensation... Like something reinflates, or comes back together.
Now, I often have to lay down on my side (usually on right), that is hurt, and take a few breaths, and I feel whatever it is pop back into place, allowing me to breath normal again.
Pleurisy? It's not chronic (as in, not daily), but may coincide with allergies.
