To prepare for plugging:

I took a quarter of an OC-40, shaved it real fine with a hose clamp, then added like 4 mL of 160F hot water. After mixing well, I see little white particulates still intact. This doesn't make sense because the water is pretty damn hot and 4mL should be enough to dissolve quarter pill.

Does this mean the time-release factor has not been defeated? Or are these particulates merely insoluble inactive material?

I've only plugged a couple times but there were always particles still there. A hose clamp won't really get it that fine. Try a callus remover.

It's faster and gets ya a finer powder. You just remove the metal portion. Can find these things at any drug store for cheap.

Tbh I'm not quite sure, but if your plugging it and not shooting it wouldn't hurt to boil it until all the particles mix, andno it won't destroy your oxy, just don't boil it to long, then either suck it up with a q tip or without.

Particles are to be expected as this is more than likely just buffer insoluable material. I don't know what your 40mg pill weighs but I know an old style 80 OC weighs about 250mg so its about 70% binders and filters. I would just plug or eat the sediment if you're concerned about waste. The few times I prepped oxy for injection, there were always particles that I filtered with micron filters. This was with cold water though.

Inactive binders.

OC 80's are about 1/3 active ingredient, 2/3 inactive. OC 40's are probably have more inactives, but might be smaller than 80's so I'm not sure.

No need to boil it.

Oxycodone dissolves into cold water easily.

Cool, so I guess crushing the OC is all that's needed to defeat the time release. And yes OC-40s are smaller than 80s (about half the size) so I think mostly it's kept in proportion.

@ Johnny blue:

A callus remover... interesting. Are you sure powder doesn't get stuck in those porous holes? And have you compared the volumes after crushing two identical pills between a hose clamp and a callus remover?

use a credit card, id card, cvs/riteaid/duane-reade/walgreens/booths, discount cards. after the pink/yellow/green is scrapped off , crack in half or quarters, and then crush with the card. perfect powder everytime. Also with OC's there will always be insoluble power left in the spoon with with water. no need to worry. its just powder. oxycodone Hcl is a hydrochloride salt, that" readily soluble in water and ethanol.", so all the oxy is "in" the water.

As I have come to know the inactive binding affinity of a 40mg Purdue-brand Oxycontin, it is very much possible to dissolve everything included in the pill minus the coating with even less than 1/3ml of warm-ish water/saline and this is including all the talc and micro-cellulose et all

The OP should be absolutely fine as long as he pushes the plunger up and down a couple times to force the parts in/on water into a solution instead of a suspension.

Yes the 80's are bigger than the 40's. the 10,20,40 are the same size and then the 80's are noticeably larger (10-20% ). Also the "new"15,30,60,pills are lager, but ive never seen them for real. Actually i've only ever seen/done 10's,20's,40's,80's and on one occasion got a couple 160's , but th 40 and 80 are rather common.
