oxycontin IR dosing via IV

Well being that my dosing advice seems to be a touch liberal, I thought Id turn to you cause I dont wanna kill the poor sod!

Hes got a bunch of oxy IR just the 5's but plenty of. Hes a big fella and has used before but wants to get the rush and high without chucking too much in....
Any suggestions?

We would really need to know his oral tolerance first. From there, a simple BA conversion can be made to approximate a conservative starting dose.

Be aware that many people, including myself, report that oxycodone has little to no ''rush''. Intravenous administration just results in an immediate onset of a high, not a two-part event like shooting many opioids.

Get back to us with his current tolerance.

I've been doing Oxy for 2 years and I do 30mg of Oxy IR at a time, up to 280mg (not anymore though) and I'm 240lbs.

So you say he's a "big guy", well I'm a big guy... so I can tell you that at his weight alone, he could probably take 6 or 7 of those 5mg's at one time.

As for how to take them... this also has to do with opiate tolerance. For example, if he's never taken them before... ingest them! If he's only done it a little bit, but knows what he's getting in to... he could try snorting them, that's how I do.

I don't recommend IV under any circumstance. But that's just me... if he's not very opiate tolerant and he tries to IV 30mg, he will get very sick... or worse.

I would of thought at least 30 mgs aye, but so many people when I've suggested to on here have been all 'ohhhh that's nuts'

And Cyb, I dunno what you're on about with regard to no rush, 60mgs of that mainlined and it's onnn...especially if you leave the tourniquet a little tight...

He's done them before, he used to be on the smack 5+ years ago, but wants to make them last, I'll tell him go with 6 of them, I just wanted to make sure that it was ok at those doses, I was concerned on a few recent threads with people talking about just railing 15mgs, which imo is practically pointless...but horses for courses...

i find that IV administration of oxy is going to be the same dose as oral administration. it ain't like dillies where the BA is huge for IV compared to oral.

don't recommend IVing oxy tho. the high comes on in a few mins, but only lasts for 45 mins. if you want quick onset and long duration, look into plugging. it'll be a lot better for you too

The BA is 99.9% for IV...Any other way is a waste imo. Hes gonna do them tonight at mine so Ill check back later cause I get 80 ive never done the 5mg capsules its the ones with already fine powder but theres heaps im going to need a 1litre barrell for 16 of em!

Do not leave your tourniquet on "a little tight." You should loosen it before pushing off...other wise you are really putting your self at risk for blowing a vein or having the solution leak out of the injection site.

This is a harm reduction site. Advice like that is plain stupid. You don't know if he's iving in thin little veeins in his hands or feet or a fat vein in the crook of his arm. Some are more delicate then others and you can really do some damage that way.

Also, if you are not micron filtering its really pretty much pointless to IV oxy IMO. The rush is practically non existant. If you want a rush IV oxymorphone, or heroin or something. You are just wasting your veins (not to mention the fact that you have 5mg pills...so you are iv'ing so much fuckin powder lol.

Thats like 30 g of oxy

if he can take it orally or whatever his roa is

the rush will be intense but why not just parachute or snort ..?

In both instances the actually high will be better

imo the rush is overrated

Easy... I said little tight, I usually leave it mostly on, just loosend somewhat while administering, or I'll lose the vein, I'm not talking fully on, or I wouldn't of said 'little' There is no overtly serious risk involved in doing that...but I inderstand maybe some people may of seen it differently.

You're very right about the powder too lol, I didn't realise there was so freaking much, most we could do was 4 at a time, and it was like stiring melting sugar....sod all rush, sod all high really *It's the pill type not the drug though...It's just too much binder obviously I filtered it 1.2em, but there was so much waste, he was happy though....me not so much!

Nevermind, we live and learn, and live some more!

What exactly is the duration of iv oxy.... When is it safe to redose... My pupils are pricks but I don't feel high
