With colors it depends. In general red is the most sedating, green is in the middle, and white is the most energizing. But the speediest kratom I ever had was a red, so go figure. It depends on the dosage as well; if I take more than 4g at once it gives me brain fog and makes me too tired to get anything done. I've been taking it daily for 2 years; when I first started I used 1.25g (half measuring tsp) 2-3 times a day over 9 hours and that was plenty for me as I wasn't looking to get high, I just wanted to be able to function through diagnosed PTSD.
I'd do what the others said; start with 2g. (One legit measuring teaspoon is about 2.5g so you can take a little less than one level measuring teaspoon, not just any kitchen teaspoon, of course.) I'd add; wait at least 30 minutes after the first dose and if it's not giving you any relief take another gram, then wait some more, repeat if needed. Might as well start on the lower side; with kratom less is generally more. I get sick and shaky if I take a pinch too much, no matter if it's red, green or white. I also take 400 mg of good magnesium glycinate every night about 2 hours before bed which really helps anxiety, but if it gets to be too much I take 150-200mg of good L-theanine on an empty stomach, which is the best OTC anxiety treatment available in the US, if you ask me. It helped me a ton when going through kratom withdrawal ~12 years ago and alcohol withdrawal as well.
Good luck to you!
