Hello there,

Thanks for allowing me to post and your time to read it.

I did research already and just couldn't find any info that can really help with my case.
Lots of interesting posts about tapering vs cold turkey here but I'm hoping to read from someone who relates to what I'm going through and see if there's some advice for me.

After a minor surgery I started taking Oxycodone (Immediate Release) on a daily basis.
It started with 20mg a day six months ago but went up to 30mg almost two months ago.
I take my dose only once a day when the withdrawal symptoms start kicking in at night (Body aches, lots of tearing and extreme weakness)

I really want to stop because my sex drive went down to zero and I was finally contacted by a physical therapist to start a treatment next month.
I also feel that my oxycodone dependency doesn't really let me measure how much pain I still have since my procedure. I assume a lot of it is what some doctors called ghost pain.

Would it be safe to do a quick taper (2 weeks or so)?
Is cold turkey an option for this kind of habit?

Thanks a lot.

I'm also hoping that my libido comes back after the medicine is out of my system.
