Hi, I had been been taking 20-25 mgs daily of prescribed Oxycodone for 10 months. My last dose of it was eleven days ago. 2 days later, I received a small dose of morphine at the hospital (2mgs), that being 9 days ago. My question: I did experience withdrawal symptoms; however, things could have been much worse. While I think I’m through the worst of it, I am still having flu-like aches in my body & lots of sneezing. Should I still be experiencing those things at this point? My other symptoms are gone. I know that flu-like pains & sneezing are common in withdrawal, but at this stage of the game, I am starting to wonder if I have Covid or something. Any thoughts on body pain & sneezing duration considering the relatively small level of mgs I’d been taking? Thank you!

histamine/joints/inflammation stays weird for about a month after. id still get a COVID test, but that's pretty par the course.

You got this dude, I’m going through hell right now try ing to get off of poppy pods and onto kratom, I feel Horrible, I don’t even wanna know what this would be like cold turkey, I’ve been using every day for I think 9 ish months.

I gave in today(it’s been 70 hours since my last pod) and used about 0.4 mg of subutex

It’s bedtime, and I was terrified to go to sleep beforehand doing the subutex, my nightmares during opiate withdrawal are horrendous

Like I’ve had some where I am literally being tortured, or I’m in he,k, and I can feel the physical pain as I’m stabbed, burned, eaten.

I know exactly what you mean regarding the sleep. It feels like “wake up or die”! It’s a very bizarre experience. My Dr. prescribed me some Ambien to get me through the withdrawal and it has really helped. Water & sleep has been key. Today is my 2 week anniversary of no Oxycodone & I am so happy and relieved. Life isn’t perfect, but I feel free of the med it & that is such a great feeling of achievement. I’d highly recommend a short run of the Ambien, if you’re able.

Thank you for responding. That’s what I appreciate about this site. No Dr. really knows these answers. But the do-er’s do! And they like to help each other. Thanks again, it helps to know approximately when I can expect the pain to dissipate.

I just got it prescribed last Friday actually

hang in there my fellow junkies! Day 7 for me, I think?? From doing like 70mg of diladud a day for 2 weeks. FUCKING OUCH! Like Extreme ouch. 25mg oxy is not gonna be fun to come off of, but its gonna be milkd like you said. Your aches will go away. You don't have covid or anbything your skin just feels weird.

I'm on 60mg oxycodone + 240mg codeine/day. It scares me that my doctor could just STOP my supply even thought it really is for pain and I really do need it.

Could I ask if you took IR or SR formulations and what your ROA was? I just swallow the tablets as I am told to do.

The odd thing is that it's the codeine that causes me more problems. A day or two without it and I get sick.... but nothing much happens without oxycodone. I'm hoping it's because I'm taking IR pills so the peak level in my body will never be THAT high.

I don't feel anything - just less pain.
