Opioids Oxy: Too sick

So I started using 15-20 mg oxycodone once a week. I've been doing this for like two months and don't believe I have much of a tolerance. The thing is, I get so nauseous that the one time I did 25 mg I vomited all night. At the same time, I really don't think oxy feels that good. Like, I'm amazingly underwhelmed. I think the nausea actually outweighs whatever kind of euphoria I get. How typical is it to feel this way? Why do I get so sick from oxy but yet so little euphoria? I can't up the dose or else I throw up.

You might be allergic to it. 15 mg should be a great ride especially if you've been taking it for a few weeks. If you are throwing up something is wrong . Stop right away. Anyways, why would you keep doing it if these things keep happening?

The reason I dose so much is because the drug has such a reputation for feeling great and I didn't think it was feeling too great, so I reasoned I wasn't doing enough. And I figured the nausea was just part of the deal. Should I try a different opiate? I remember having similar problems with hydro. Am I just shit out of luck forever doomed to not be an addict?

Edit: I just realized this is all most likely attributable to my antidepressant SSRI.

If you're taking wellbutrin it sometimes causes nausea with opiates and kills a bit of the high.

Geez...that is not considered an allergic reaction and it does not mean that something is wrong. It means you are taking too much. All drugs affect different people in different ways. There are quite a few people who do not enjoy the way opiates/opioids feel and are disapointed when they try them. They are just not enjoyable for some people. So no, not everyone should be feeling great from them after taking them awhile.

Allergic reactions do not consist of nausea and vomiting. If they aren't working for you don't keep pushing it. You could try a different opiate/opioid but if hydrocodone and oxycodone are both affecting you this way and you don't enjoy it then it will probably be similar with all drugs of this class.

Poor you, you might never have the chance to grow up addicted to opioids, relying on them to get out of bed in the morning and just to feel normal, all the while burning a hole in your pockets as you blow all your money all on oxy, only to just feel normal most of the time with a good high here and there. 8)

What kind of oxy do you have.. Cuz the instant release ones make me sick but the apo or crw or the "control release" ones don't at all. Might be the acetaminophen or one of the fillers making you sick

Maybe try mixing in a little bit of cannabis to counteract the nausea. When I first started taking opioids hydrocodone made me a little nauseous but oxycodone never did. No idea on the lack of euphoria, the only antidepressant I've ever been on was mirtazapine and I'd almost swear that it increased the euphoria.

Heroin made me sick as a dog the first time I did it although luckily I never really had a problem with oxies. It means you are taking too much for a non tolerant user. Youre playing with fire with opiates, take care not to get burned.

If you didnt get euphoria, it looks like these opiates just might not be your cup of tea. Im in the same boat. I can use enough opiates to get nods but it really never hits the spot in the euphoria department. Is not unheard of.
