Opioids Oxy/hydromorphone WD, with a dash of methadone

So I've been using these two, back and forth, pretty much daily for the last two months. Not my first go round. I've been "playing with fire" on and off for three plus years now. Anyway, it was clear its time for a break. I was usually doing anywhere for 30-60 mg of oxy or 16-32 mg of dilaudid daily. Dosed once in the evening. On Monday we decided on one last hurrah before the break. I procured some methadone (20mg each)due to its long half life. I was hoping that a one-off dose would make WD easier as the molecules slowly left my receptors. That was Monday evening. It's now Wednesday afternoon. I have a little anxiety, which I am countering with lorazepam, but other than that, nothing. Did I just delay the inevitable, or did my plan work?

Before anyone chimes in that my doses were tiny, I shouldn't feel anything, "I withdrew from8 grams of heroin a day cold turkey and was fine" stories, I've eebn through this before. I'm VERY sensitive to opiates, which is why my levels never get all crazy. After 4 years, 40mg will still get me ripped. Unfortunately, with that sensitivity also comes a sensitivity to withdrawal. I usually feel like utter shit, even after a short run with low doses.

Just a quick update. It's now day three. No sign of WD symptoms other than a little anxiety. Starting to feel I like I pulled this off. I'm guessing not though. Probably just a day early. Really a shame, since I'm probably gonna grab some oxy tonight. Must. Stick. To. Schedule. Lol.

Is it true that you only dosed once daily? The fact that you didn't experience any withdrawal in between doses suggests that you aren't heavily dependent on opiates. It's hard to imagine that the doses of oxycodone that you are using would suppress withdrawal for more than 12 hours unless you are taking a time-released version.

I know it's not going to make a difference what I say, but I hope you will seriously consider stopping opiates while you still can. You probably got lucky this time, and this may be the one chance you have to stop without going through WD.

I've been through several withdrawals. The worst was a two year run of 1-2 times daily dosing. 2-5 days of horrible stomach pain and GI Issues and 14 days of sleeplessness. I'm hypersensitive to opiates, so my habit has never gotten too bad, in terms of volume. I also do my damnedest to dose only once a day. I've always suspected this helps me greatly. I have NEVER dosed before or during work. Even under that system, I'm feeling pretty shitty by 5 or so if I decide on a day off.

You're absolutely right. I should stop now and never look back. I've been super lucky to make it this far with out any serious health issues. I'm certainly giving it my full consideration.
