hello all,
this is my first post. I have been on opiates painkillers for approximately 8 years. I am currently on day 4 of my detox. I took 3 milligrams of subs on the first day. I am taking 4 to 6 milligrams of klonopin a day as well as .4_.6'mgs.of.clonodine a day. at one point I was taking 4 or 5 80 milligram oC is per day. I got down to 120 milligrams of oxy and then switch to 120 milligrams of hydro. got down to 60 to 80 milligrams of hydrocodone per day. sleeping is a little hard but I can sleep for at least 4 hours a night and I can eat as well. the last time I tried to detox it was much much worse. should I expect the symptoms to get worse or are these new medications helping to offset them? I currently have three badly bulging discs in my lumbar spine, but I feel I can control the pain 95 percent of the time with over the counter meds. I am a 30 year old male and I am going back to college because I can no longer work physically due to my back injury. the last time I made it pretty far but then eventually relapsed because I thought I had it under control. I was also on subs at the time. this is the first time in I don't know how many years have gone 3 days of zero pain killers. how long should I stay on the on the clonodine? also, does anyone have any experience with twelve step and is it worth it? I'm willing to do anything to quit but I don't want to waste my time. thank you in advance for your responses.
