opium question

i've been getting this black "opium" stuff on and off for years now and i don't really know if its real or not.
its got that distinct smell, not overly perfumey though, and it black and sticky. we usually smoke it with weed. i have smoked it alone before by lighting it under a glass and sucking in with a straw, but i don't remember the effects.
it comes from some reputable sources but i am not sure if they really know.
is there any way to tell if its real?
what does smoking "real" opium like?
any comments?

Real opium is a black mess or tar basicaly, and it isnt hard in any way, and actually real opium is very very soft and pliable, it is NOT stiff and shoulnt keep its shape if you form things with it.
The biggest product being sold that resembles this is black tar heroin, and i wouldnt mind geting this shit for "opium" at all, its very active and its smokable. Tar apparently tastes pretty bad while real opium tastes a bit like flowers.
The real effects of either of them should be very similar, a warm narcotic feling, just under your eyes keeping them droopy, everything feels perfectly *fine* and you could sit there like that for hours on end.
If it is a real opiate, it will not take smoking it on weed to feel it, and in fact this is almost a waste, it will burnmuch better on its own and it tastes better than weed anyway in my opinion.

BTW how much are you paying for whatever amount of this stuff?

put like half a penny worth of opium as flat as u can make it .stick it on the back of a metal spoon.take a paperclip unravel it so u have a thick wire about 6 inches .heat up the wire red hot like hot knifes .use a straw and push the hot metal into the opuium om the spoon and inhale as it burns .fastest wat to smoke it with no pipe .the way u smoke it is very important.

i highly doubt that what you've been getting is real opium. when you have a chance at getting real opium, the normal asking price seems to be $10-$20 per gram, instead of the same price as schwag which you said your price was. who knows though, maybe you just have a REALLY REALLY good hookup...

the suppliers are older, honest guys that have grown up in town. i think they have a lot of "biker" connections who move a lot of different stuff.
