Opium in the US.

I will start to say that where I am ,Opium is around in small amounts a few times a year,most comes from Vancouver.B.C. to people that are friends/family with people from there.Vancouver I mean..
 
It's extremely rare to find real opium in the US. Most of what is sold as opium is in fact heroin mixed with other shit (incense and such) to make it look and smell like opium.

This is likely because, ounce for ounce, smuggling heroin is far more profitable.
 
Yeah I know that ,butI do now a few people scattered out acroos the country that get real opium from time to time (rare though)..The opium I get is real and is Afghani opium ,I have smoked real opium in Thailand,Egypt,Turkey,etc..and I can tell the difference,and the only way I get the opium is a few relatives in Vancouver get it sometimes and will once a year maybe bring me a few grams or so,when it is around up there..
 
A friend of a friend in Chicago used to have it regularly.
He'd sometimes pack a bowl at parties and start passing it around w/o telling anyone it was opium.
Generally enjoyed by all partakers.

Also in Saint Louis I think it was around in bulk if you knew the right person, I know a few people from living back there that used to use it frequently.

Edit: So I can't say 100% that what I used in Chicago was pure afgani opium, I've nothing to compare it to and it always happened on a night that I was already drinking and smoking bud (typical college party, just happened to include opium..)
 
in santacruz there are some folks doing dried poppy extractions. but they are just devious college students and they will probably get bored of it soon.

if you mean opium by itself it's rare as hen's teeth...

I've seen tar sold as "opium" but that was to hippies... they wouldn't do heroin but they'd do "opium"

it IS in a few meds though with other stuff... like paregoric and stuff.
 
A lot of people grow poppies, and I'm sure a few slice a pod now and then. But it's mostly a small scale, personal use and circle of friends type thing.
 
i've made my own in my back garden and although people were a bit scared of it being an opiate i told them they would never be able to get it again so might as well try it. they loved it
 
I have only had opium a few times in my life. It's hard to get in the states. Everytime I had it.. I really really enjoyed it. I would LOVE to find some. *sigh*

I very rarely come across any Opium... I very rarely even hear anything at all about Opium, for that matter. My best friend apparently used to be able to get it pretty frequently for quite some time, & she's the kind of person who would definitely be able to tell if it wasn't real Opium, so apparently Opium being commonly available in the US isn't completely unheard of or anything.
