I ave no access to benzos. or prescribed meds. Are there any OTC alternatives anyone had experienced with? I havent slept in the past 2 days and I have work tomorow.
Ha well some loperamide (immodium ad) will help quiet that muskrat for ya. It helps me a lot even psychologically during wd
Flexeril can make the RLS alot worse. All anti-cholinergics can and cyclobenzaprine has pretty strong anti-cholinergic effects. This is why diphenhydramine, dimenhydrinate and other drowsy classical anti-histamines cause RLS because they are also anti-cholinergics.
Out of the OTC anti-histamines ive tried doxylamine succinate has the least chance of causing RLS. It's also about as good for sleep as diphenhydramine and dimenhydrinate. However it's not good for nausea and vomiting like dimenhydrinate is.
I wouldnt see why taking lopermide would help you sleep. It doesent cross the blood brain barrier so it won't cause any opioid effects except stopping the diarrhea and help with the stomach cramps abit. Anti-histamines also seem to help the stomach cramps for me when taken with lopermide.
Alcohol during opiate withdrawals even in small amounts is really bad i find. It makes all my stomach problems including diarrhea worse. And it certainly makes the mental headfuck worse.
