Opinion on TRT dosage and frequency

perhaps you should talk to your endo about baby aspirin everyday. it will thin the blood and reduce the risk of a stroke (which high HCT raises the risk). He's likely to say its a good idea I think, a lot of men are on aspirin everyday for just this reason. Its not one of our weird drug things heh.

Thanks for the suggestion, will do. =D

I have been diagnosed with gyno, left nipple (cranberry size lump). Had a mammogram about 2 months ago, benign with annual exam recommendation. Occasionally it swells at little, itches slightly & becomes very sensitive.

Update: I've been running 200mg q 5 days for a few months now and notice a positive improvement vs. once a week dosing.

You guys have it down. A lot of knowledge on this forum.
Yes, give blood, very important. As tempting as it is, try not to spend to much on supps

My diet is my primary source of nutrients. I eat for health, such as a kale, spinach, carrot, apple, blueberry, cranberry, maca, flaxseed smoothie EVERY morning. All our veggies & fruit are organic & most from our local farmer's market. We avoid animal-based protein like the plague. Although, I'd rather not discuss that at this time. I pick my supplements very carefully as my entire family enjoys the benefits as well. And no worries, I get plenty of complete proteins and I have no problem bulking. But sad to say my bodybuilding days are behind me. Just about health and longevity through cardiovascular fitness, with a healthy amount of resistance training.

Again, about the giving blood thing;

No baby aspirin. All my blood draws have been collected after a 12 hour fast and always in the early morning, leading me to believe the high HCT is likely from simple dehydration. And my labs have been completely reviewed by my both my PCP & Endo (both of which I HIGHLY trust) without any concern for my HCT. Finally, a high-normal or slightly elevated HCT will benefit my current fitness goals so there will be no blood letting.

I do agree about the degree of knowledge in this sub-fora. :)

hey whatchamacallit, nothing big here just a little idea for you...I've always believed that women live longer than men for one reason at least because they do monthly bleedings. If your test levels are elevated to high normal then there will be no problem for you to donate a double red blood cell every other month or so. In fact it might make you feel MORE energized (it did for me however this was at a time I was on EQ and Deca both notorious for raising RBC/HCT). All AAS raises it though.

If you could give blood every couple months for no negative (and possible future longetivity benefits) AND benefit somebody in need of a transfusion...I would do it.

At least experiment once with it and see if it does hinder your fitness goals?

Good point MM. I've been considering donating blood to help those in need during the holidays, or even making it a regular thing. Guess I never put two and two together. I'll give it a shot, pun intended. :)

Thanks for input. I'll post how it goes.

Turns out US FDA has a guideline that says if the donor applicant is prescribed an injectible medication, the administering of the injectible MUST be done by a licensed professional. And if a donor applicant is self-administering a prescribed injectible medication, the donor applicant is ineligible.

go to Red Cross and lie.

The steroid in your blood will not affect anything they pull the junk out of the stuff anyways to get the red blood cells. They are more worried about infectious disease. Cause you know all bodybuilders are sharing syringes ;)

Testosterone Cypionate, originally rx'd 200mg q 7 days. Now my Endo wants to decrease to 100mg q 7 days. Considering the half-life of the ester, should I inject every 5 days?

a pretty standard TRT dose is 100mg every 7 days with 1/2mg or 1/4 mg of arimidex eod or every 3rd day.

I do more test (I do a sustanon type mix) at about 160mg/wk and 1/2mg of arimidex eod and 250iu of hcg the 2 days before my weekly shot... I'm on the WAY upper end of the ranges for a 20something... and I'm a 50something.

the 200mg first couple of shots was just to "frontload" you since the ester has such a long half life... gets you going quicker.... the sustanon type mixes get around this by having some quick esters (like acetate) along with cypionate and undeconate... so you've got some quick, some medium, some slow, some super slow.... I stay pretty even that way:)

bull.

think of all the diabetics injecting several times a day.

and LOTS of TRT patients do their own weekly injections...

the clinics that claim they can't let them do their own are just squeezing you (or your insurance company) for office visit fees.

I know some TRT patients that HAVE to go donate blood periodically because their red counts get to high.
