Opiates and Nausea?

This is my first time posting so bear with me...I took 2 very strong big pink vicodins a short time ago and it made me very nauseous for the entire night and the whole next day. I now have 2 10mg Methadones and I was interested in taking one of them but is fearful of being sick like that again. I was drinking a significant amount of alcohol with the vicodens and thought maybe that was the cause of being so sick. Does anyone have any experience with these for recreational use? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know it's your first time posting, but we don't use SWIM here. It offers no protection as we know it's you ;)

Nausea is common on opiates; one can find relief from laying on one's back for a while.

Mixing two CNS depressants isn't a good idea, so next time I would skip the booze and use only the opiate.

I would try taking 5mg of the methadone, so half a pill to start. You can always titrate up but never down.

Welcome to Bluelight by the way, be safe!

I don't think that you should take the methadone. If two vicodins make you sick, then methadone may be even worse since it is a lot stronger. If you take it, only take 2.5mgs, and wait about 2 hours before taking another 2.5mgs if you think you need more. It takes a long time to kick in. I really don't think that you should take a stronger opiate if you got sick from a weaker one. Methadone is generally reserved for people with a high opiate tolerance.

Yea I agree with Tommy, if you got sick from the Vicodin, the methadone will just wreak havoc. It's a strong strong drug and can definitely mess with your stomach, specially if taken on an empty stomach, or something that naturally upsets the stomach like alcohol... Too much of that can make people sick so adding a strong opiate is just not a good idea. Specially when you don't know what your doing, slow down. Methadone take a loong time to kick in, so take jut a little bit, but IMHO, I wouldn't take it at all. You should maybe try sticking to one or a half of that very strong Vicodin, your tolerance may be small and you may be fine with just that, and maybe the little dose won't make you sick.

As you say this is your first post so i really appreciate to you about this post. And best of luck for your future. Keep it up man.

This thread is more than three years old so I doubt the OP will see this. Moving to Basic Drug Discussion.
