Opioids Opiate/Kratom dose reduction question

Okay so I'm currently on two daily doses of around 9.5 grams of kratom and I'm not getting great effects anymore so I wanna reduce my intake to 1 full dose A day instead of two but here's my question... Will my body ever adjust to this dose or am I "resetting" my tolerance every time I take that single full dose? I can handle withdrawaling all day until my night time dose *if* I know eventually I will stabilize on that dose and no longer have to withdrawal all day anymore. I'm sure the same applies for opiate users so any related feedback will put my mind at ease.

Yeah you can stabilize on a lower dose, just don't expect to get high and the adjustment will be difficult. You could try a taper of sorts, taking a smaller and smaller seconded dose till you just stick to the one dose.

You see that's the thing, I'm still getting sorta high as I will still be taking a full dose, only now one instead of two. I'm wondering if my body will get adjusted to having just that one dose without being in withdrawal all day thus stabilizing on one dose per day instead of two.I prefer to do this over tapering because tapering with kratom just doesn't work because of the short halflife and I'd rather not swith to A long acting *real* opioid. The lower dose I take the shorter the time window becomes before I'm in withdrawal. For example, if I try and get by on the smallest amount necessary to keep me out of withdrawal I'll be back in withdrawal in an hour so in the end I end up taking more and more little maintenance doses and still be suffering more than if I would've just taken a full dose, if that makes sense. I'm pretty bad at explaining things.

So the question is.. If I continue dosing 1 full dose in the evening, will the withdrawals I experience when not on it lessen over time and will my body eventually be satisfied with just this one dose and no longer have to withdrawal all day until I take the dose in the evening? My goal is to only have to take 1 dose a day like I used to be able to. Back in the day withdrawals kicked in every 10 or so hours so I was able to get by on one dose per day. Nowadays it's more like 4-6 hours if I'm lucky. So will that full dose keep setting me back thus never reaching my goal of stabilizing on one dose? Like I said I don't mind suffering for a while as long as I know it will get easier over time. I work from home and have the comfort of not having to drag myself to work with people all day in withdrawal. I plan on stabilizing on one dose, then cut that dose in half rinse, wash, repeat making it a fast taper so to speak.
