The morning of 7th December 2004 was when a few of us EADDers had the police come knocking after buying 2C-I from the US. Anyone else involved or remember it? FaB was one of them.

'In December 2004, using credit card information provided by the DEA, British police arrested 22 UK residents who had purchased 2C-I through the seized web sites (Operation Ismene).'

I remember they named and shamed you in the local paper at the time, you and your partner were/was teachers iirc?
 
No we weren't the teachers. They both lost their jobs and their kids were spat at ๐Ÿ˜ข We had a building company so it didn't affect our work and our kids mates thought we were super cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž They were in their teens at the time.

In fact, that was how our kids found out we took drugs and after that we were really open about it. Then we went to festivals together which was great ๐Ÿ˜ My son met his wife at a warehouse rave 10 years ago... she picked him up off the floor ๐Ÿฅด so he decided she was a keeper!

They're all in their 30s now and I've been banned from giving my son-in-law shrooms at family gatherings cos it makes him really annoying ๐Ÿคฃ

Ah, it was awhile ago. Iโ€™ve been to bed since then so my memory is a little hazy on the matter.
 
They never found the 2cc, 2ci or 2cd I had - they were in an envelope and the woodentop, this horrible pig-eyed bastard called Ramsbottom ( I thought Ramsbottom - what a perfect name)picked it up and looked inside and still missed em. So I didnt get charged for them - only got charged for the stuff they found. Took my computer for 6 months said by posting on bluelight I was "encouraging the use of drugs". They went through the sites I read about drugs at as if its a crime "The vaults of erowid - you shouldnt be on that".

And they said "We dont want people using Ketamine - what if a burglar breaks into your house and finds it and commits a date rape with it"

Sounds like something Ramsbottom would probably do himself...

Anyway, I most certainly do remember the era and I was surprised it actually took the DEA 8 years to actually schedule the PEAs they were after back then. Also, I recall reading some news article about how the owners of ACS and OFC went on some cruise and just disappeared. Almost as if the government had simply "disappeared them." I never heard about the owners being successfully prosecuted over it. Indited, yes. Prosecuted, no. Anyone else know anything about these individuals' disappearance I read about, or was that simply an urban legend being spread by the author? I recall it being rather well written, though I may have some false memories due to certain activities I partook in back then lol

Yeah they were prosecuted - ACS guy got 410 years.
 
I wasn't part of this (I'd have been 10 at the time), but I did have the feds come knocking once after ordering some RCs.

Heard a knock on the door and answered it to a few local police and a couple of feds holding a package. I knew immediately what happened. They asked for my name, told them it was me. Little did they know I was on MDMA at the time which might have saved my skin because I wasn't at all nervous and treated them very politely. Let them in and asked if they wanted any coffee. I owned up to ordering. It was like a few grams of A-PHP, some benzos, a few grams of 3-MeO-PCP and I think some others. They asked what my plan was with it and I told them I planned on taking it. They asked if I planned on selling any because it was a large amount so I told them "No, I just use more drugs than a person should". I asked them if I was going to jail and they said "Well that was the plan but because you were honest and didn't cause us trouble we'll let you off with a warning. Don't do it again because we'll be keeping an eye on things".

I think if I wasn't on MDMA when they arrived it wouldn't have gone nearly as well for me because I have a problem with cops and it shows when they talk to me, but under the influence of MDMA even pigs take on a human appearance

It was on the DNM a few years ago but I don't believe it is anymore. The DNM really has gone downhill. If I want mid quality cocaine or "Stardawg" for street prices, I'll buy them from a local guy. At least he doesn't make me use PGP and pay in Monero.
