open air copping

so I'm going to a famous (infamous?) corner in downtown la, known for selling pharms and h. I have little doubt that I'll have trouble copping but is safety a massive issue considering I'm a young white girl? I know not to bring any valuables and to be on foot, but are open air markets safe or just completely dumb?
 
...id say dumb. IDK I have a regular dealer so I don't put up with that shit. I would be a bit worried about a undercover lol :\
 
If your a young girl yes stay the fuck away from those places. You'll only get trouble and the cops are often the least thing you have to worry about. If your coping they know you have cash and there are plenty of thugs out there that wouldn't think twice about cutting your head off for a 20 dollar bill.

I'm not shy of a fight but even i avoid coping cold if i can cause it's just too risky. Plus it's way too easy to get ripped off and street dealers have shit drugs anyway most of the time. And there is no way i would let someone rip me off so if any trouble happened id either be going to Prison, the hospital or the morgue :\ . So yeah stay away
 
Even if I go early in the day (dealers close around 8) and it's not in skid row? I just want to get the stuff and get out :/
 
Stay away from the block!! You need to get connects through people you know, that how most of us got our connects. Sometimes you gotta bribe your "friends" but if your paying then make sure u get dudes number. I haven't copped off the street since I was a teenager cause it's just too dangerous. Everything paranoid said is 100% true. Your in Iowa do idk what it's like out there but over here in the northeast it probably wouldn't end well for you. I know that's not what you wanna hear but it's the total truth. Being young and white has it's advantages and disadvantages. Open air cold copping for a young white female is a huge disadvantage unfortunately. The dealer may be a dirtbag and want "more" than the couple bucks you got. Try to network through people u know, pay them in drugs if u have to. You'll find your own connects soon enough.
Are there any guys who use what ur looking for that like u? Use that/them. Lord knows I've copped a shitload of times for cute girls . Whatever u decide to do please be careful! Some people want more than your money. It's not tv, these are real criminals your gonna be dealing with...good luck and be safe

Louisiana ?? Oh god, girl stay off those blocks, pleasssse. It's no joke in the city down there Hun. I never heard of copping meds on the block? Usually all ur gonna find is dope and you don't wanna go down that road...
 
and I've heard from friends that this corner is the place to cop in downtown la, but still it could be shady
 
L.a ahhhh that dot makes a big diff. Lol. L.a ain't no joke, honestly I wouldn't do it. I've got a habit but I'd be sick rather than fuck around like that. My life ain't worth a blueberry.
 
It went from being relatively safe to pick up drugs here to risking getting beaten, stabbed or shot pretty quickly once coke/crack took off here. Id imagine it would be worse trying to cop on the street where your at. I have done it but i always make a rule of having someone with me who can back me up plus a weapon or 2 if i was meeting someone completely new. Unless i have known the person for awile i really don't like dealing with them. I can't get Heroin or opiate pills or delivered to my door but i can do that with coke/crack so it's basically who you know really.

Cold copping is always risky, especially a girl alone. Ask a hooker, they might be able to help you out if you make it worth their while. My sister and I used to do some stupid shit cruising ghettos in Ft Lauderdale. The black guys riding their bikes real slow were always helpful. But that was for crack, heroin wasn't so much available. Whatever you decide, bring someone with you.
 
IMO- or I guess I should just say, where I'm at, not just my opinion on things: Where it's open air here- being a young white girl, it's always easy as hell to cop. 1) because if you are young white girl, there is only 1 reason you are where you are, so you are 'spotted' right away, and dude wants to make money. 2) I can't speak for everywhere, because I've definitely been to some places where I can't say the same, but how it is where I am- if you go to this one place- you can always find what you want without ever getting burned because the place is so hot that it wouldn't make sense for someone to 'beat' anyone because of that fact alone. End up paying more and not always finding the best that way- but I met a few reliable sources from being on the street. You aren't going to meet someone if you don't show face.
I don't know. A lot of people above say it's risky- and obviously it is- and even though I don't have to hit the street a lot- I love the thrill of it. I love every single minute of it.
 
These places are dangerous for anyone, especially a young white girl. I know you want to get hooked up but this is going the wrong way......

So many pitfalls are possibly waiting for you with this route........
 
Is there anything I can do to be safe? should I really just completely avoid this route even though it's not the ghetto it's in a nice(ish) part of LA :)
 
We've already answered that question I think. It's up to you, were just giving you the benefit of our hundreds of years copping drugs...

Listen to this cause its true. You cant get some dude to grab you something? Its just not safe and im not even talking about the pigs, which you could get into trouble with too. Some guys out there are just beyond sick and they dont think about the consequences. And say this time goes great, what, are you gonna keep doing it? Then its not even a case of if, its when your gonna run into trouble. I know it seems awkward but if you just talk to people, you will run into someone who knows someone and then you can get to know someone. But as a girl, that should be alot easier then a guy.

You gotta realize what fuels those areas and its nothing pretty. Violence, drugs, sex, and paranoia. Nobody is there to show their empathy or love for another. Its get yours and get over anybody to get there. They have to be like that or they dont survive down there.

Even the times ive been kickin bad, i dont go to those areas and theirs good one in my city. If everything all goes good, your still gettin ripped off. The times i have was when i was new to the area and i wanted to get a feel for what was going on and sometimes if i just happen to be there with my lady or somethin, ill grab a little baggie of herb. Thats another thing, dont bring alot of money. If you do, dont let them even think you have alot on you.

Even with open air like that, i would imagine your gonna stick out pretty good to so better just not even deal with it. But if you do decide to go, please dont go at night or even close to night. Go during the middle of the day with a bunch of people around. Its easier to stay off the pigs radar and less likely to get hurt by one of these scum bags.

Your gonna decide on your own and although i highly recommend not doing it, i should also include some tips you can use as well just to be on the harm reduction side of this, its only fair. Dont ever ever ever get into a car with someone no matter how short the distance, dont let them take the money without the product there, wear sunglasses so you can scan the area, trust your gut and if its not looking good, its not good, go with another person so they can be watching you at least, carry some mace or pepper spray with you and have it ready to access. Just be very aware of your surroundings and whose around you. Trust no one even a inch. One thing too is those people can smell weakness and they prey on that. Be confident like youve done it a million times and this time is no different. They respect that. Good luck and be safe.

One last thing is ive never really heard of open air markets selling pills either. Like out here its mainly heroin and crack with a little meth and of course herb but no pills

I always sent my old man. No way on this God's green earth was I, a woman gonna do that shit. Send the 6 ft 2 man who weighs 285 for the dope. Even my buddy who was a decent size got robbed, they took his fucking shoes.
My old man never had any trouble. He had some guy he called and met him at a corner, but he met him at first open air.....
