one more for the books
A look, a touch, a thought passing
Distant plans and unlived memories
Broken hope with promise and doubt
Tomorrows plans uncertain
Certainly held close with anticipation
Living in frustration, and pain
Still promise of a better day to bring forth
Pleasure and happiness
Without worry, pain, and doubt
To live freely and within love
Sharing everything within life
One life from two
Behold the morrow's eve
Gaze into the future of one
Exciting and warming the lust of life
Closer still are they
Believing everything that cannot be certain
Staring away, looking for direction
Avoiding the possibility of perfection
Damning yourself for a harmless phrase
Now context taken loosely
Haphazardly stirring emotions best left still
How complex a simple phrase
Not spoken, left to imagination
Full circle, to the beginning again
To make amends and patch it all
A patch that will not fault or disappoint
Can it be at peace with one from two
A match eternally praised and ever vigil
Yesteryear and a millennia awaits
Exploration of everything will promise and hold fast
The bounds of mortal flesh and blood
Ever so close to the truth
Yet drawn away one breath at a time
A century long heartbeat
Hold time, stop all; breath once more before the end
------------------
Mine is the wisdom of the ages.
I hold the key to the mysteries of life.
Casting my seeds on fertile ground
I nurture them with constancy and purpose.
My sights are fixed.
My gaze unchanging.
Unyielding, inexorable and deep
I advance with steady, unslackened gait,
The solid earth beneath me.
