So for a bit of background about three years ago I did DXM every single day in what was one of my irresponsible binges. I messed with upper third plateaus most of the time, typically dosing 800-1200 mg. Eventually my tolerance built up to the point where it wasn't even enjoyable anymore, so I stopped using it. For the past few years even the smell of cough syrup makes me gag, but I was not wondering after all these years would doing a 400-500mg dose be alright? What are other people's experiences with retrying DXM after such a long break.

Really, I think that's totally a matter of personal preference. If you really would like to repeat the experience, I would say go for it, but only if you think you'll enjoy it.
