Stimulants OK to take Xanax on Amphetamine comedown?

Is it ok to take 0.5mg Xanax when coming down from Speed? I took speed about 9 hours ago.....

Generally how much time does it need to pass after taking speed in order to take benzos?

Yes. I usually go for the 2mg bars myself :)

(edit) I take xanax with amphetamines to dull anxiety/paranoia. It is fine.
 
Your fine mate. Take half a bar if you still can't sleep take the other half. 1mg should put you down though. Sweet dreams
 
ok thanks... Are you saying the mixing benzos and speed can also work to stop the jiteriness and anxiety while high on speed?

you can take it now. But it depends what you want to use the xanax for... Coming down or calming the anxiety that comes with amphetamines?

Either purpose you will be fine.

Yes it can.

Don't fall into the trap of taking a benzo and then, when you're feeling calm again, taking more speed.

True words. I took 6mg of xanax, 100mg of temazepam and 20mg of zolpidem during a speed binge and was about to go to sleep. Then friends showed up and I continued on. It didn't end well, a couple days later, mad hallucinations and a long fucked up story. But I could sleep for a 4-6 hours and wake up still buzzing.
 
I'm not gonna do that, I'm done with speed. 0.25mg Xanax knocked me over... However I still didn't get sleep. Might take another 0.25mg. later on.

btw is it OK to take vitamins/fish oil the day you're coming down or is it better to wait till tomorrow?

Of course that's okay, why wouldn't it be? It may be better to have some food in your stomach with those for absorption/digestion reasons, in case you haven't eaten.
 
So my heart rate during the past day was 115-120 BPM while on speed ..... I am ok now, but I have this thought that I may have caused some damage to my heart or something with this high heart rate? Is that a possibility? or are my anxiety and comedown talking here?
 
I'd say anxiety and comedown are talking. I'd imagine it would take a lot more stress to do some real damage to you heart, and it would be much more alarming with pronounced negative side effects.

I'm curious how well the xanax is cushioning your comedown. How much have you taken?
 
All I took was 0.25mg Xanax today... about 5 hours ago. It helped. Because I am not taking benzos regularly, I have no tolerance basically.

btw I like Klonopin wayyyy better than Xanax. I had Klonopin prescribed back in 2006. But I don't have Klonopin now.
 
I took regular speed... Yes, I Have previous experience, from about 10 years ago.... I am not into that stuff now, but last night I was out, drunk on a party and... you know the rest of the story.

Honestly, when I take everything into account now, it was not worth it....
 
That's how I usually feel about most hard drugs. Sure they feel good, but all things considered they aren't worth it for the most part. The negative effects tend to outweigh the feelgood in my book.

So you had street speed? Huh. I've only had pharms. Stims are the only hard drug I can stand using for more than a day at a time. I Can go through a big amount nonstop and then be tired and done with it after. No desire for more. Can't do that with opiates, they start to piss me off by day 2 or 3. I hope you enjoyed yourself.
