Why has the skin on my nose decided to be the organ in my body in charge of surplus oil/fat elimination?

I'm skinny! I need that fat!

My diet is very healthful, although admittedly oily. I eat lots of oily fish (salmon, sardines), nuts, seeds and often use olive oil. But I'm eating those fats so I can use them, not excrete them! Aside from those foods, I eat my green vegetables.

So you think my body is just getting rid of toxins, and oil is coming along with it?

Jean Paul - I'm not going to just cover up the symptoms. I want to know what's going on in my body. I'm not about to start investing in cosmetics. I'm a 23-year-old male.

Unless you have acne, there's nothing wrong with your nose. It is naturally covered in oil to protect it from wind.

the skin of the lower nose is as thick as the skin of the upper nose, because it has more sebaceous glands, especially at the nasal tip.

If you want to gain weight, you have to eat more food. The easiest way to eat more food is to be more hungry; the easiest way to increase your hunger is to consume primarily foods that do not suppress hunger, i.e. carbohydrates.

Rythem, simply wipe that oil on your lips, it's an old farmers trick to save you from chapped lips, using the oil on and round your nose and behind your ears.

I wish i had more oil to use my lips are very chapped all the time lol

They say that an oily diet doesn't make an oily face but from personal experience I disagree.

Your lymph system has to circulate all that fat, regardless if it's beneficial fat or not, and the excess is going to come out in your pores.

Also, as someone said above, your skin is a toxin elimination channel, and the sebacious glands (along with sweat glands) are one way stuff gets removed.

The same thing is happening to me. I feel great eating high fat fish and lots of olives and olive oil. I think it's just another way the body is trying to metabolize the fat that you're eating. Instead of storing it, maybe your body realizes that you don't need to store it because you're already getting enough calories?
