Hey everyone -

Had trouble thinking of where to put this since it's such a mix but DAMN RED ROCKS LOOKS CRAZY THIS SEASON. Here's what I'm going to

- Bassnectar nights 1 and 3
- Primus
- Disco Biscuits
- String Cheese <3 <3 <3 <3
- Umphrey's McGee

Would love to meet up with you guys there, make some new friends, smoke a joint. Cheese heads are a + + + <3 <3

This thread should work for general discussion, general raving about how awesome this season is looking, and for people wanting to meet up; Go ahead and discuss away :)

So excited at getting back out near my favorite venue.

Work might be kinda hectic this summer, but If I can i'm fully down to hit Cheese.. cheese head^2 I am.

No Panic this year yet? mehh, I have been really tied up with BS for like half a decade so I have not been hitting or listening to alot of shows and when i finally did last summer and i'm not sure how smitten I am with what clearly sounded like quite a bit of Herring overkill. I only listened to like five shows from last summer though.

Would not mind hitting Trampled by Turtles.. a little sorrowful at times, but Ryan Young (fiddle) is really something special.. some very good musicians in this fine outfit.

EDIT: oh yeah and i'm going to hit all the days of the week long fall stretch the Dead + trey + bruce are going to do. I know they are not aware this will happen yet, but I have faith.

Panic will be there (yawn). Duane will probably still be on drums

This is crazy, but I haven't been to RR since 03. I always felt the venue was kind of overrated. Sound is meh, but the party was always a riot
 
Wanna see you at Cheese guys! Get a little BL conclave started ;) and NSA I actually just signed a petition for them to do east and west coast runs...after seeing 60K mail orders they have to be convinced... At least I'll get to see Mickey and Bill at Bisco Inferno.
 
someone meet up with me there, this is my state!! i need to start saving up my money. a BL meet up is something i never thought would happen in colorado so this is so exciting, someone has to keep me posted on a meet up if and when it happens... also, red rocks is not overrated! it's beautiful. depends on your expectations though. it's an amazing venue. add some good drugs in and underrated won't cross your mind.

i'd love to see bassnectar, the shows are so fucking overpriced though, and i can't do the rave kid scene. i haven't tried but i just... can't. idk, never been to a bassnectar show. primus would also be amazing,
 
^ yeah I know what you mean...but it's not all so bad. I just think the music can generally attract a shitty group of people. I always find gems in the rough though.

also I might be checking out Tipper :)

Fun place to go, super pretty, everyone should go check it out for sure. But I've been there and done that. I'm sure I'll go back sometime, but the gorge and Greek are more allsum IMO
 
I did not end up going.. really busy with a new position. A good old friend of mine is in Hard Working Americans so panic backstage should not be a problem in the future.

Going to miss cheese as well. Sucks as this summer had some special music.. but I knew I was still going to be on blocks this summer. . Oh well next summer will be hard packed with shows.
