Hello everyone, I'm a first time poster, but hardly new to this site. I apologize in advance if this in not the right thread.

Ok, so I've had a reliable heroin source in Toledo for a little while now, and he's never burned me, or overcharged me, or anything - yet I recently bought two grams of heroin from him, and instead of the black tar he usually gets, it looks more like lumpy dirt. With a little bit of difficulty, the stuff can be broken into a sort-of-powder, HOWEVER, the stuff isn't cooking right. No matter how much heat is applied, the granuals simply turn into soggy granuals never coalescing with the water. And even worse, the needle can't seem to suck it up, even though I'm using a wider needle now (I assure you the needle is not the problem).

So, I'm wondering, has this ever happened to you, and if so, what can I do? Are there any other techniques to perhaps saturate the dope, or should I consider boiling it in the pot with the water? Basically, anybody had this problem before?

Alternatively, I'm not naive enough to think my "buddy" would never rip me off. On this note, do you know of any litmus test for authenticity? It smells like the stuff when I try to cook it, so I'm pretty confident that it is what he says.

It's Toledo, not exactly a hot market, and he's the only guy I know right now. My hope is that it is genuine and there is a way to cook it, because otherwise, I'm about to do some really awful things to my body (it kind of looks like brown sugar, which might not be good for???? IDK).

Thoughts, advice, comments?
 
why don't you ask your dude? it might just need a bit to dissolve..if it doesn't dissolve in like 5 minutes even with a little heat it might need something slightly acidic to break it down. If something acidic (i.e. citric acid or vit. c) doesn't help break it down then its probably some weird cut. Maybe your dude doesn't know you shoot and thinks you snort. Let him know whats up w/ the product and if he's as reliable as you say, he should have no problem making it right.
 
I am amazed that you normally get tar in Ohio. I've never heard of tar here in Chicago and I just assumed no where east of here would have tar. I guess you learn something new everyday.

What you have sounds really suspect and this is kind of on the fence of what is allowed in the forum because we can only speculate about what you have but I've never heard of anything like this so maybe we can get some solid information on the subject... however if no quality, harm reduction-focused discussion is generated here, we'll have to close this up.

You could look into reagent testing (such as marquis) to get a better idea of what you have.
 
Im in Pa & from what ive heard & saw, its never been tar & im surprised you are getting it in Ohio. If you been with him for months, I doubt he would try to rip you off but you never know, in this trade, anything is possible.
 
this sounds like it might be the no 3 base heroin we get here in the uk,try breaking it down with a little citric acid or vitamin c powder added to the water.if you cant get these things try to break it down in a little lemon juice.good luck
 
For your own safety, don't use lemon juice! It can have fungal spores and other nasties in it that should be kept out of your bloodstream.
 
If it doesn't break down with citric acid,i think there's no way to break with lemon juice..but,i don't know,what the fuck is this...:?

I've been looking on the threads here, and I'm somewhat confused about two things:

1. Citric acid coming from lemon juice or any other fruit, and vinegar seem to be way dangerous; some people have mentioned that it can be rife with bacteria, or lead to my eyes being inflamed, infected or worse. It this even worth messing with?

2. I'm in the states, and I haven't seen any of these citric acid pouches that people on here in the uk have said that they can get at clinics. Can citric acid be purchased? Should I even have this #3 stuff here... what are the odds that my guy is getting UK stuff in Northern Ohio?


I've only been here for a couple of months, but I've now learned that there isn't a clinic, a needle exchange, or much of anything in the way of junkie-assit. In fact, I've had to resort to buying my needles in bulk online, because the drug store owners refuse to sell me needles (no matter how upstanding I may try to look, or any number of routines I've come up with .... "My friend is a diabetic, and he needs this gauge/size.") The way I see it, if it is a notorious enough problem here to refuse needle sales, its a bit odd that there are no clinics...
 
Could you bump a little bit to be sure that at the very least it's some kind of an opiate? That's the only litmus test for authenticity I can imagine, and you might prefer brown sugar up your nose than in your veins.

There's no mistaking what it is once it's up your nose. The one time that I got beat, I had no idea what it was until I railed it. I knew it wasn't heroin, but it almost looked like heroin and I had to be sure. It was garlic salt. No doubt about it, my friends, it was garlic salt...

Don't you guys over in the states have citric acid as a spice or ingredient in various dishes?

Here in Sweden we buy our citric acid from the supermarket (spices/ingredients).

Never used lemon juice and will never ever do.
 
Even if you could get it to pull up into the needle, do you really want to risk putting something like that in your vein? Unless this is somehow base heroin, I wouldn't fuck with it. But like somebody else mentioned, why don't you just holler at dude and see what's up with it?
 
Well, I was hoping we could generate some better information and while the harm reduction advice is appreciated, the speculation doesn't help.

If anyone has anything more concrete to add, please PM me and we can reopen this.
