Any recreational effects of using nyquil, if so what kind? How much to take? Yes I know, it'll make you really sleepy but i'm on concerta so I don't think thatll be a problem. Anyone tried this? I'm not trying to trip balls or anything, just some relaxation, I get really jittery on concerta so thought this might help..

Experiences, dosages, and advice would be much appreciated!

**Yes, yes, I know that some ingredients at high dosages are bad for the liver, but that doesn't stop people from popping 4 750/10mg percs.

That's because percocets are a real drug and actually recreational. No nyquil isn't recreational at all it's a very stupid idea

Appreciate the honesty. Just really had no idea what the stuff was capable of. I'm off opiates now so percs are not an option for me, just looking for anyway around the jittery'ness and awake for hours syndromes. Has anyone else tried Nyquil for relaxation, sleep aid, or any recreation? Looking for some experiences even if was used for a cold

do not, whatever you do, DO NOT COMBINE CONCERTA AND NYQUIL (DXM). a fatal interraction called serotonin syndrome can occur, and the nyquil will make you feel even more jittery.

secondly, DXM is the substance in nyquil that produces recreational effects, but because nyquil also has APAP and doxylamine, abusing nyquil is very unsafe!!! dont do it!!!

if you want something like nyquil, try Delsym or other products with ONLY dextromethorphan (DXM) in them, otherwise you will fuck up your liver and the doxylamine will send you into psychosis if you take too much.

again, dont fucking abuse nyquil. its not safe nor is it fun, trust me!!!

That's scary, I took two 30mL shots, I feel really calm and much better. I hope i'll be okay, I didn't read your reply until after I took the Nyquil. I'll keep updates

i don't think concerta (methylphenidate right?) and dxm have any bad interactions, they both act as reuptake inhibitors on neurotransmitters but at different levels that i wouldn't think to be dangerous. I even looked through google and didn't see any big warnings, so i don't know. Don't abuse it for now and do some research. If you want to calm down don't take as much concerta, anti-histamines like doxylamine in nyquil can calm you down and make you sleepy but can also make you restless.

Don't have a panic attack over it, go do some research and let us know but AFAIK there is no risk of Serotonin Syndrome as methylphenidate doesn't inhibit reuptake of serotonin to any significant degree, there is however risk of other interactions so definitely stay away from high doses. This isn't the same as mixing a serotonin releaser (mdma, methamphetamine) with DXM because methylphenidate is more selective but i'm high and tired so don't take my word for it.

Ended up taking 4 30mL shots of nyquil and for some odd reason it took away all the jittery'ness, helped me relax, and took no sleep away from me. I felt like I could go to bed whenever I wanted without being kept up by the concerta. Interesting mix id say.

So....You took more?

Lucky it wasn't a stronger SRI you mixed with the DXM.

Do yourself a favour and pick up some DXM only medication. That and don't disregard advise you came and asked for, especially when it could prove potentially fatal.

Be careful, man...

^forreal, what's the point of asking questions if you take more after you took some and freaked out AFTER you were told multiple times not to...I just don't get it

Thank you, appreciate the advice and knowledge, pretty sure they redid Nyquils ingredients to make it less abusive, just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with it....
