dude i just took 22 grams of nutmeg about an hour ago and im having a huge fucking buzz it feels like weed, its only been an hour. im a little confused but pleasantly surprised does anyeone know what the fuck is giong on?8)

wow. you couldn't find any "real" drugs? or just curious?

I've never done nutmeg before, can't help you, just wanted to say that I think that's a very odd way to cop a high.

Get a sitter, if not, be ready to call 911 if the feelings begin to get too intense.
There are a lot of things that go into nutmeg getting you high, so you might not feel anything, but that's still a high dose, so be prepared to be severely debilitated/delirious.

Please look into the substances you plan on taking in the future.

Or at least just buy some weed c'mon man nutmeg? Really? Shit i can't talk i've tried it before.
Good luck!

Don't be suprised if you end up in a hospital at that kind of dosage.

You'll probably be in for a nice three to four day long, hellishly introspective fever dream journey. Or feel like someone replaced your head with a sandbag. Either way, clear your schedule for the next few days. And get a sitter :)

I ate 15g of nutmeg more than a year ago and it kicked in like 4.5hours after ingestion. I can say it definitely works, but I'm surprised you're feeling it after only one hour.

i ate a 40g jar of ground nutmeg with 2 friends in school at 13 years old. we smoked lots of weed at the time so were pretty unaware of the effects, until getting home later on and monging out HARD in front of the tv.. eventually waking up before bedtime like wtf happened there?

This is like the second "holy shit i just took a shit ton of nutmeg, will i get totally fucked?" question in the past week that has left the OP unavailable to respond.....

Can anyone who has actually done nutmeg sort of give a description as to what the high is like?

^ it's like being really sick and completely delirious for a couple days, it's not recreational at all.

^
-Increased perceptions, I.e. things sounding louder, but also extra depth
-Euphoric Feelings
-Metaphysical push
-CNS depressant/muscle relaxant
-Dry mouth, red eyes, lethargy
-Vivid Dreams
-Antibacterial
-Short term memory loss in a fashion that leads to occasional purposeless action (delerium)

It also has analgesic properties.
A google search may provide a list of health benefits of the plant/herb/food.

The usual interpration or description of nutmeg speaks to a connotation of an archetypal image in society.

A flu-like experience is an overdose.

Think of it this way: A substance is beneficial based on variables of effect vs. risk vs. half-life.

If you are withdrawing from opiates, as an example, the pain killing from nutmeg may outweigh ibeprifen in terms of redosing, liver health, or price.

Considering ibuprofen is nontoxic to the liver and is one of the cheapest and most widely availiable NSAIDs, I think not... nutmeg is actually worse for your liver and has a much higher incidence of side effects than even older generation NSAIDs like aspirin.

I have no interest in nutmeg for getting high. But if there's a chance it might, in THERAPEUTIC doses, be a mild painkiller, I could put a little in capsules and swallow them. I already take tumeric for inflammation and that works wonders. It's just as good as ibuprofen or naproxen. I have high-dose prescriptions for each (600 mg ibuprofen and 600 mg naproxen) and they do very little for my pain. I think combining natural substances with manmade ones gives one the best of both worlds. However I do try not to take those two scripts I mentioned too often, one reason being that I need to take them with food and my natural tendency is to eat very little, and second I worry about my liver. I would assume natural substances would be gentler on the body? Correct me if I am wrong.

Definitely wrong @Xtcgrrl, just cause something is natural DOES NOT mean that it is safer or less toxic than something man made. Take mushrooms for example, some can be a tasty meal, some can make you trip your balls off, & some can poison you possibly leading to death. Although all mushrooms are natural. Gotta remember that most man made chemicals, drugs, etc. are made to mimic something natural or act as a precursor to a naturally occurring. The saftey/danger of any drug, chemical, etc. has absolutey nothing to do with it being naturally occurring or artificial.

Depends on the quality/type and dose. 15g of fresh nutmeg made me feel sick, while 15g of ground nutmeg made me very euphoric.

EP, it feels like a high dose of hash, but more euphoric, and no anxiety/paranoia. Same side effects : increased appetite, red eyes, dry mouth, etc.
