Title
I'm aware of the harm reduction advice, this is regarding aftermath
What I mean is has anyone else had this numbness faintly which was relieved after abstaining from nitrous after the use?

How much nitrous were you using for how long? Unless you were already B12 deficient, you’d likely have to use a substantial amount to experience nerve issues. Are all fingers on both hands numb, or what? Regardless, it can’t hurt at all to supplement with some B12.

I sucked down a 600g cannister with probs like a minute or two in between each, I can feel the nerve endings in my eyes right now

I've had similar issues in the past, not sure if it was just from nitrous or dissos (PCP analogues) because I was using them basically at the same time. Have done an insane amount of nitrous by itself aswell months before.

To get back onto what you want to know: Yes; a good b12 supplement will help, somewhat. From what I know the problem is just that nitrous use causes your body to be able to uptake b12 less, so stop with nitrous right now and then supplement for a while. Preferably find both an oral and a sublingual form of b12. Best would also be to get some B-Complex stack going with magnesium; personally I've used the one from Objective Nutrients (hopefully I'm allowed to source here? it's not a drug site..)

Cheers mate, I am sure you will recover soon if you give your body sunlight, a healthy diet, walks and the necessary vitamins I mentioned.

Oof, then yes, that could be causing some issues indeed. Whether you will recover or not is difficult to determine, but if you can please report back after supplementing with B12 and avoiding nitrous use. I also recommend focusing on your health overall as suggested, to maximise healing potential.

Hey that numbness subsided quite quickly, my anxieties got the best of me after reading a few horror stories. Was even able to use nitrous again with more time between each (like 10-20 minutes) and without breathing back into the balloon repeatedly and noticed zero b12 deficiency symptoms the next day. B12 supplementation done with basic supermarket multi vitamin containing it. Thanks for the concern, lots of love

Also the feeling in my eyes I mentioned could have been down to using 2 multivitamins within about 12-15 hours of each other for the B12 as there's fat soluble vitamins in there that can cause eye irritability if you take too much

I'd suggest to be very careful with continued Nitrous use my friend, glad to hear your side-effects have resolved though!

I don't use Nas and won't even know where to look lol but why the b12 if someone minds explaining why.

Plus just getting ahead of myself won't taking it before hand be a prevention cure type technique If you wanna call that. And also going for a direct combo injection of b12 and Complex together.

I use to do it back in the day for medical purposes at the time and it was a once a month inj. If I remember the b12 straight they can only do once a month but the complex one every second week.

“Neurologic symptoms associated with nitrous oxide use have been attributed to vitamin B12 deficiency. Through oxidation, nitrous oxide inactivates vitamin B12. In its inactive form, vitamin B12 is unable to function as a co-factor for methionine synthase and methylmalonyl coA mutase. The former converts homocysteine into methionine, which is necessary for the production of myelin proteins, while also converting 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate into tetrahydrofolate, which is necessary for DNA synthesis. The latter converts methyl-malonyl CoA into succinyl CoA [1]. The effect of nitrous oxide on vitamin B12 levels has been demonstrated in studies. One such study conducted by Hakimoglu and colleagues, demonstrated lower postoperative serum vitamin B12 levels in 81 patients who received anesthesia with nitrous oxide, compared to preoperative levels [6].”
