Howdy y'all! Couple months late for a new social thread but I just started as a mod of NSADD.

Let's get this thread going. I know things are weird in the Americas right now but drug use exists outside of anything else. Long live intoxication!

hell yeah. good drugs will always unite people

i finally got some good coke from a random guy i knew, been a long while since i've had actual quality shit off the street.

things are definitely getting different though, apparently like its pretty damn easy and common to just buy straight drugs now with this gift shop shit, in certain cities... i think attitudes are relaxing overall, I will be happy if i see legal cocaine and heroin in my lifetime. it would help a lot of the bullshit that goes into the drug economy.

I mean attitudes have relaxed towards psychedelics, mdma, ketamine, everyones dying from poisoned dope, i mean fuck at this point just make the good safe shit easier to access, the government would probably make so much fucking money lol. they'd rather have a racket of a judicial and law enforcement system though

Agreed, I've always been amazed how smoking a joint with someone is such an easy way to connect even if you're from 2 different worlds.

It does seem like local coke has gotten better lately. Idk if it's just cause I'm older now or if folks are just cutting it less and charging more instead.

The gift shop thing really surprises me. I mean, I get it with unlicensed cannabis shops--once it's legal there's not much they can charge people with and prosecutors won't charge the cases because they know juries won't convict. It's created a bit of an unworkable situation in some places. I think cannabis should be totally available, but some of these unlicensed shops are problematic because they're selling unsafe products and being bad neighbors. Personally I have more of a problem with a place creating a noise disturbance or attracting low class clientele that litters, etc. than a place selling drugs. The mushroom thing is wild though, it's like police are just giving up in some places. Or the whole "hemp" or "THCA" thing in states like Texas or NC that have no legal cannabis access--and it's gotten so big that now they're having trouble banning it because so many people and jobs rely on it.

I'm hopeful that this will lead to us getting powder shops (H/C) sooner, because politicians will realize how much money could be made by selling these products in a regulated way. I always remind people it costs less than $1/gram to make what could be called "fair trade" cocaine--which leaves the possibility that our government could add a 1000% tax and it would still be significantly cheaper. Prohibition is massively expensive and all of the money is either wasted or goes to the wrong people. Blind ideology and racism are the only things that have kept the drug war going so long.

Welcome and congratulations! Always good to see another mod taking on the NSADD post! Thank you for making this thread.
