my mates were recently over there and they reckon it's like an all you can eat buffet over there when it comes to pills. on 10 quid you can get right royally ripped... it ain't all great though... Club entry over there seems fuckn expensive, 50 quid to get into Gatecrasher according to their webpage at www.gatecrasher.co.uk. And plus the price of living over there is pretty fuckn steep...
But that still is no excuse for our dealers to be chargin us through the nose... bastards... where are those university chemists from perth that got kicked out for making LSD in the labs... we need more people like that... they sold that acid supa cheap apparently. but still

OK guys, I agree that it is annoying to be paying so much for our pills, but I kind of understand why. Especially when they are imports - I will not buy local, and probably would pay almost anything to get imports (hehehe)
The reason I kind of understand is that the dealers are taking a BIG risk in selling drugs to us. Fair enough, so are we in buying and using them, but if they are caught they can spend a LONG time in jail. Surely they can put a price on freedom?
I accept that I will probably be shot down here, but I guess it is just that my dd is a really nice guy who is a good friend of mine. This means I get my pills pretty cheap, but I wouldn't blame him if he put his prices up. I sure as hell wouldn't want to see him busted. The point is, if they are not making much money out of it, it wont be worth their while. We dont want our dd's to up and say its not worth the risk anymore! What would we all do?

I've got to back Voodoo Chile up on this. While there is absolutely no excuse for DD pushing crap speed pills, those that supply quality should be getting more than those who don't (the old "you get what you pay for" should be in place).
Also, don't forget they are picking them up at a high price due to "import duties" which aren't imposed on backyard speed labs in Australia.
And seriously, who can remember back when the standard price was $60 - when we think about it prices have dropped over the years.
Hopefully it can only get better from here, especially if everyone does seriously spread the testing word and get all the dealers to say no to speed bombs.

I blame the States for sucking up the market for good pills. With usage skyrocketing over there at the moment what is the incentive for trafficers to come here? It's little wonder that the demand here is being filled by speed bombs made by bikies seeing a new market. Actually, I'm only hypothesizing here - it's friday and I'm bored at work.
As for prices, I used to pay $50 in '88 so I agree the real price has come down alot. It's just that the chance of not getting what you paid for has increased a lot.

I sort of have to disagree that it is the risk which pushes the price so high. The risk is equal in the UK. They have laws just as tough as ours for shedule 1 drugs. Second, it is just greed. The importers are getting them in for 50-80c each. The profit margin on these are always upwards of 300% when sold to the ext chain down. So you invest 1 million, you get at least 3 million back. I am using very conservative figures here as well. Can you estimate how many pills a week australia goes through? So I have to say, there is no real excuse apart from the fact that they can charge whatever they want simply because people will pay those prices. Hell, even very angry prople like me will continue to pay these prices simply because we have no option.

Remember, Australia is a long way from other countries of manufacture. Why travel 18 hours holding pills, when you could travel 6 into britain? I think australia could be seen as a very risky option to import to, as we only have a relatively small market, and the length of time to get here. This has to impact on prices.
If everyone got quality, instead of crap, then there wouldn't be a dispute over prices. But, not everyone is going to own a tester, so the best you can do is make sure you personally get the value for money.

The way I look at it to is, in a country with the population of the UK, and the percentage of people popping pills in the UK, I am sure the competition is pretty tough too.
Why would you buy from one dealer, if you know another equally reliable dealer who will sell them for less. The more dealers out there, the lower the prices are going to get so that they can stay in the competition.
I think we should all start to deal, and then we can get as many as we want for a very low price! hehehehe

So true, so true. I just got back from the UK and this is so true. I was paying at the very worst 12 quid a quality pill. The tx to get in are fairly reasonable for your everynight clubs, special events like "Rocket" or the like are around 12 quid. Take me back !!!!!!
ive heard there are places in europe where a decent pill is worth less than a meal in McDonalds. I think that says it all.

Unfortunately you make a small batch of LSD (10g) thats 100 000 hits. Same amount of MDMA only gives us 100 pills. Too risky for them, despite it being infinitely easier.

I have done the Eurpoe party thing myself. Basically you cant get an E for 3.5 pounds. You may get 50-100 at that price however. The club price is 10 quid ($25)...bit like ours is $50.
In Ibiza I got mdma pills for between 8-10 pounds. In UK I got mdma pills in clubs for 10 quid...I could have got pills for 8 quid in Gatecrasher, but wasnt really interested, just making conversation. Outside, it ranged from 5-7 quid.
Tickets to get into Cream were 10 quid. Gatecrasher was 25 quid on a special night. Bedrock was 7 quid, and MOS was around 12 quid (bit pissed that night so dont remember)
Supaspeed makes a good point. The UK mkt is larger than ours. Also it has been going longer than ours too. Thats why they get first prority in terms of filling orders. Its far easier to ship it into Ireland than into Australia.
Consequently Australia has a mixed bag of pills. Quality Euopean imports, quality asian imports from Malaysia and Indonesia, local E (not much) and local speedbombs (quite alot).
Local speedbombs are basically crap. The max they are worth is $20...if that. In my opinion local E are ok and prolly worth around $30. The imports are a different matter. These ones just do all the right things. I'll take quality over price anyday.
This is a rather gross generalisation...however the majority of European imports are a chalky white pill, like supermen, audi TT's British Telecoms etc. Think of how many coloured ones we get. Quite alot. That has got to say something.
The old adage...You get what u pay for is very true for the black market as it is in the real economy.
