Well if you like your deep stuff with a non-clubby vibe then you'd like mad racket which is being held on 18th at Marrickville bowling club.... this is a strictly there for the music type crowd (kinda reminds me of club 77 type crowd)

Went to last one and was an awesome night...

ooohhh k looks like i goin solo this night ....maybe marrickville bowling club as a venue not too appealing to most folks ?

Ahh well I am a big fan of the dj's (ken cloud, simon caldwell and zootie rawk!) and the deep stuff does it for me so i'll be flyin the BL flag at this one
smile.gif
...meetup will be easy I just have to know where I am
smile.gif
...hmm maybe not as easy as i thought :P

I'll be there....these are the best parties. When Tom Middleton played it was one of the best nights of my life....And i love the fact it's not hyped like Gatecrasher or the other pretenders.
Mad Racket...Music for those who know.

Hmmm....sounds interesting.
You might not be going along by yourself Doc. I'll be going to Reclaim the streets on Saturday (anyone else want to come along?) and am trying to avoid a St Patrick's Day BBQ at my house on Saturday night (drinking beer and wearing green....two things I never ever do

). I also love going to different unhyped events, and the crew putting this on are pretty tight.
Marrickville bowling club? Bizarre venue...but I might just give it a shot. This also fits into my detoxing saving money plans so all is sounding good.
I'll give you a call Doc.
miss apple

Woo! Some interest shown

... ok heres another link to the event, this one includes a couple photos of the event before last...

One interesting thing about the venue is the fact it has wooden floors, so as soon as you walk into the place you feel the beat come right up through the floor

Apples my mobile is in getting repaired, picking up tommorow morning from north sydney optus store but it currently diverts to my work phone anyway....I see zootie pretty much everyday so will be picking up a heap of tickets tommorow so if you are interested just lemme know how many tix you want and i'll grab them for ya....

there is just too much stuff happening in these couple of months to kno what to go to.
tho last time doc was talking about it, it sounded really good.

Who are you Doc? I met Zootie at Richie Hawtin. My name's Beth.
Zootie a crack joint....lol....greatest name.

i've been to a few of these quiet ken cloud/simon caldwell/sugar ray parties.. they're good, cool little vibe, but it is quite elitist. the dj's mentioned above have a brigade of dj groupie girls who like to follow them wherever they go...
and of course, because they're *underground* everyone else is aboveground. :-] i can't stand the constant slagging of large UK clubs and other popular movements in the dance music genre... no one is *underground*, we're all here to fucken party, get your heads out of your asses!
:-] fuck i'm up and ready for another party already and it's only tuesday! :-]

ummm xlr8 i'm DoC
smile.gif
...hehe yer zooties a cack....ask him on saturday night about his matchbook stealing habits at the mint bar :P
danger well i certainly aint no groupy

and i went to the last one (tom middleton) and found it to be the exact opposite to what you descrbibe. I found it to be totally unpretenious and everyone was really friendly ...i'm not against the big clubs, hell i was a home regular for a while there over christmas (and was at renaissance) but while i enjoy the big hype type nights i also enjoy the other end of the scale and having a hype free night where everyone is there for some mad ass music and a good time ....
