Down the rabbit hole
I just quit an opiate habit that completely took me from my fitness life for about 6 months. It's been about 3 months since I've been sober; I have been lifting on and off for about 8 years and have acquired a good deal of muscle, I am definitely not a beginner at this... I ran one cycle a bit over a year ago with test c 500/week for 3 months and my prolactin got all out of whack, by the end of it.... used proper pct, clomid and nolva.

One question I want to shoot you guys with is ever since my cycle, which was well over a year ago, my libido has been null... completely gone. My hormone tests come up fine for everything... I bounced back fine and my prolactin leveled out... cortisol is fine... And I am getting my hormones checked every month from an endo. She gave me a shot of HCG once for some test and I felt my libido come back STRONG.... for about a week, and then it leveled back to nothing.

What is wrong with me? This was before and after my little opiate fling, it has noting to do with drugs even though my doctor says it does, but I was like this before my run.... any reason why I would have no libido after my cycle and why the HCG would have spiked my libido and made me feel normal again?

What can I do? I am seriously holding off suicidal thoughts every day... I feel so worthless and depressed. I want that sex drive back...

The only thing that comes to my mind is low test. Even though your blood tests are OK, perhaps your T levels were higher pre-cycle. The hcg elevated your T, so your libido came back temporarly. Solution? Trt.

Post your blood work results for us to look at.

Ok so lets get this right. You have been experiencing no libido for some time now, and your hormone levels are ok ( at least that’s what you are saying). You are also saying you are depressed to the point of fending off suicide due to this. You are seeing a Dr, and have admitted to past opiate abuse and an isolated cycle of AAS use ( just test? Nothing else?) .
Now you are saying that this lack of libido was prior to the drug use. If I were in your seat man I would want to have a totall work up on every thing that could effect libido ( I’m talking every thing from hormone levels to, psych work ups to well every thing man soup to nuts) just to see if there is perhaps a more serious issue that is at the root of the loss of libido and depression. Secondly you may have to ask your self this question, “Was the depression and suicidal ideation there prior to the loss of libido?” If so you may have a more serious underlying psychological issue at the root of this.
Another issue is are you taking meds for the depression and suicidal thoughts? I ask because these meds can effect your libido BIG TIME. So If I were you I would see a second Dr, get a referral to see an endocrinologist, an psychiatrist and a Urologist . These doctors are key to you libido, one deals with your hormones, one with any mental/emotional and psychological issues and the last your Urologist specializes specifically on the reproductive organs. Now this all starts with a frank and super honest conversation with your primary doc mate. And any one of these guys may send you to a neurologist if there is a neurological component, and I am sure they will order a serious amount of tests covering every thing from a hormone imbalance to cancer ( not trying to freak you out but give you an idea at how broad of a range this issue may be ) especially if the issue predates the AAS use and the opiate use, and if the depression and what not isn’t the root.
So By now you get my advice see a doctor man, too many factors can be at play here; especially saying that this was occurring prior to your use of opiates and AAS. These did not help the situation though either man. Either way mate, I feel for you I have been depressed, and have suffered from a libido loss due to it. Hell even suffered a libido loss due to a bad injury that put me on HRT, point is mate the issue did not go away until I had a serious and totally honest conversation with my Dr, and if he says its one thing, ( ie the drugs and don’t bother with any thing else) see another dr that will listen and be an advocate for your physical and mental well being. Good luck man.

A side note and question - Was your libido low on the Testosterone? And HCG can boost libido in men for short periods of time, but is really a piss poor diagnostic test as frankly the endocrinologic system is connected to so many things and can be effected by so many factors that a closer look at a lot of things is going to be needed.

Ok so I realize that this is a long rambling post saying see a Dr, but seriously see a Dr mate, I always take it seriously when some one says they are fending off suicidal thoughts ( I have been there and I know just how taxing that is mentally and physically to fight off those urges ) if you need to chat mate PM me If I am on I will chat with you mate
