nnDMT and 5-meo-DMT

How can you tell the difference between these two chemicals/?? My friends have been doing DMT alot recently and said I should try but they dont know which one it is, infact they didnt even realise there was more than one. My question is, is there anyway to tell the difference between nnDMT and 5-Meo-DMT??
 
The effects are completely different. N,N DMT is very visual. 5-Meo-DMT is less so, and more physical, and requires a much smaller dosage. Theres not really more then one; n,n,DMT is complately different from, say, 4-Ho-DMT (psilocin, active in mushrooms).
 
Yeah but i mean visually if u hav the two infront of you is there any distinct differences? Maybe in colour, taste, texture or smell. I know that they have completely different effects, im just trying to find out what my friends have so I can know what im taking and what to expect.

DMT has a very mothbally smell if that makes sense.

What sort of doses are youer friends taking?
 
There are different types of DMT, depending on the method of extraction, which plant it was extracted from, etc.

Pure DMT is a clear crystal. Almost pure DMT is a white crystalline powder. Most extracted DMT ranges from brown, yellow to yellowish-off-white powder. There's also brown, orange or yellow waxy DMT, the waxiness comes mostly from plant fats & oils.

Then there's jungle spice, which is a mixture of DMT and the mysterious jungle alkaloids in mimosa hostilis, jungle spice is usually bright red and oily/waxy.
 
5-MeO-DMT will usually be a white to tan/pinkish powder (in my experience, acquired from China) in its freebase form, synthesized from a lab (unless extracted). If you get full-blown effects at 10-12mg, it is 5-MeO-DMT. If it takes around 35mg to get good effects, it is n,n-DMT. And DMT will usually have a very distinct smell.
 
5-meo-dmt definitely has the same strange sort of smell as well...mor pleasent, though it is not nearly as intense as that of DMT.
 
Do 3-5mg. 5-meo-dmt will produce effects much more significant than 3-5mg of dmt.
