I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but i thought some of you guys might know more about what happend to me the other day when i was doing bulbs.

I was useing a typical iSi soda syphon to take the bulbs and I had about 5 big lungfull's with short breath's of air in between, basically when i came back to reality i saw and felt a bubble of somthing go past my right arm vien(where the elbow is) and dissapear also i had what looked like wavey vision in my left eye, not wavey as in what you would see whilst tripping but is if somthing had gone into my eye and messed up my vision. I went down to work and was still not feeling well, I was dizzy and had that feeling that somthing wasent right. I looked at my face in the mirror of the bathroom there and saw that my left pupil was noticably bigger than my right pupil and as the night went on continued to feel what i can describe as a pressure at the back of my head, also the left side of my body was feeling a little wierd and tingly. On the way home also my left eye felt quite uncomfortable it felt like i had some sort of pressure at the back or inside of it, then I was shivering (from cold nothing really abnormal) and it felt as thought whatever was inside my eye passed through and then the pressure stopped.

I went home from work early because I was feeling pretty bad and decided to see a doctor, he cheaked me out said that i was fine(by this stage which was about 4 hours after i had taken the bulbs) and my pupils were normal. He said if anything was wrong i would be worse if there was any major problems wth my head and he sent me home saying that everything should be fine.

Well everything has been fine not a worry, i have taken around this many bulbs at one time many times so im wondering what could be the problem, also i heard from a guy that works at a hospital said he saw a documatary of some uni students, one of their mates died of a brain hemmerage from useing bulbs the exact way i was useing them so yes would like some possible answers of what might have been the cause to what happend to me because it did freak me out quite a bit.

Cheers

P.S. I was lieing down when i did them, so i did not hit my head on anything.

The PS was a help, uneven pupils is a worry, but if they've gone back to normal, then I wouldn't be that worried. But I can certainly see why you were concerned. I've definately felt odd preasure behind my eye from doing nitrous before.

And if you're fucked (but of course, I don't think you are) it's too late now, best not to worry.

i've read somewhere that ketamine can cause swelling of the eyeball. could nitrous, being a dissociative, also cause this swelling?

I read somewhere that MDMA causes your spinal fluid to leak, but that doesn't mean I believe that either.

after administration of ketamine:
The Eyes
The pressure within the eyeball (intra-ocular pressure) rises for a short time following administration. Eye movements may continue throughout surgery. It is not suitable for use in patients with a perforated eye injury or for ophthalmic surgery where a still eye is required.

now i won't respond to the lame remark you made.
Cheers

An increase in intraoccular preassure doesn't mean it causes you're eye-ball to swell. Nearly all gaseous and IV anasthetics, as well as opioids, benzos, barbs and antipsychotics cause intraoccular pressure to decrease but no one is going to say that they make your eye-ball deflate.. Even increased plasma CO2 partial pressure causes your intraoccular pressure to increase.

Also, it was just a joke.

Meanwhile, this paper might be very relavent.

"Use of nitrous oxide causing severe visual loss 37 days after retinal surgery "

harsh.. thnx for the info.

I had the issue with the nitrous on wednsday now its sunday and i feel fine except for one thing, everytime i get a sudden shock or chill or i hurt myself(eg banged my knee on my desk) I get this sharp metallic taste in my mouth that lasts for around a second gonna wait another week then if im still having problems i might go and see a specialist is it possible from having too much nitrous in my lungs and not enough oxygen between hits has cause me some form of brain damage? i wasent knocked out for any prolonged period of time ect... is it possible i could have hurt a blood vessle in my brain and cause some form of damage, i'm quite concurned as nitrous is considered a fairly harmless drug had no idea it would effect me in this was and im not a regular user, very occasionally. Also i did mdma and lsd about 2 weeks prior to what happend to me on wednsday but i doubt there is any connection.

Sorry to bump an old post.. but to the eye swelling on ketamine. I've seen a mate on a few MDXX pills snort a decent amount of K and will eye looked like it was bulging and half poipping out of his head. he wasnt breathing much at all and had no contorl over it. After a bit of sleep it went back inside his head. What could this be? How dangerous would it be?
