i know nicotine isnt an amphetamine, i wasnt sure exactly what category my question would fall under.
ive been smoking off and on for 6 years. between 1/2 a pack and a pack a day. ive always had this issue so im curious, not only as to WHY but also if other people experience the same thing.
typically in the morning after 15 minutes of waking up ill grab my cup of coffee and step outside for a morning cigarette. immediately after i put out my cigarette, i get INSTANTLY exhausted (im assuming because nicotine is a stimulant) but its also supposed to give you a quick boost. occasionally ill feel light headed or dizzy (sometimes this will happen during the day if i get stressed and go on a chain smoking break... which is understandable) ive tried switching brands and changing from 100s to shorts. still the same reaction every time.
id say the solution is to wait until later in the day for my first cigarette but i enjoy that time in the morning to myself before i get ready. is there any reason that would still be happening? its not like im a new smoker, or an occasional smoker so after 6 years my body SHOULD be used to it by now. does anyone else have this happen to them as well?

Yup, used to happen to me all the time (even after smoking a pack a day for 2 years). Try smoking slower or putting it out a little early. Your body hasn't smoked in hours because you were asleep, and smoking an entire cigarette always gives me a nicotine headache after not smoking for a while.

have you tried rolling your own smokes?

probably a lot less chemicals in pouch, so that could be something to consider...

I look forward to a good nicotine rush, I think it is what keeps me smoking, but I usually don't get one unless I haven't had a cigarette for a long time... I guess it's due to the red cells being bombarded with co rather than o2 hence making you dizzy or its just the action of nico on the receptors. I smoke rallies.

Happened to me every morning I smoked a pack of spirit blacks a day, I just quit and am on day four. I now am actually incredibly energetic and just got past the mood swing crap.

All good advice, I'll try rolling my own, and see what happens I've never done it but my mother used to so it may be best the first few times. And I'm glad to hear it's not just a weird thing with me, that it's pretty normal :)
