anyone think that there is any chance that Tavares won't go first overall? i think it's all just complete hype. I even heard some talk that the isles might go for Duchene first. RIGHT. I'm just hoping Burke can trade up and bring Schenn to Toronto without having to deal Kaberle. I'm thinking a deal involving Ian White.

i find it HARD to believe that tavares won't go first overall. the only thing i think that COULD prevent him is that i've heard he's a bit of a head case. i don't mean like ray emery kind of headcase, but like... he's bored with the game supposedly. i don't know that i agree with that, but if that's the word going around then no matter how much skill a kid has, if he doesn't wanna play the game, he's not gonna be a good pick in the long run.

again, i don't know how much of that i believe, but considering his productivity in the WJC... and his consistently good performance, i find it incredibly difficult to see him going anywhere but first overall.

i am so depressed, Nik Antropov has left the Rangers so play for the Thrashers, my favorite player is gone

we did get a few good players though Chris Kreider, and Marian Gaborik
this is going to be a good season

a healthy gaborik is an upgrade over antropov. don't get me wrong, antropov's good... and young, but gaborik (again... if he can stay healthy) is ridiculous.

man, I've watched antropov fumble around the leafs' system underachieving for 10 years. I would rather have gaborik on one leg than antropov.

i haven't seen him play anywhere near as much as you have, but it sounds like we may have dodged a bullet last year then. columbus was shopping antropov at the deadline to add some talent up the middle for the playoff push. whew! :D

hes a BEAST 6'6, 230 lbs, i think hes a really good player and he really started to stand out at the end of the season, imo. theres just something about him that i really like.
i was under the impression he had a 4 year contract with the Rangers but I was wrong obviously
