omg it's less than a month away!

let this be the place to talk about recent acquisitions and the regular season hoopla! it's almost time!!!

blue jackets rookie camp begins saturday!

i know it! luckily though with baseball and the preparation for the NFL season, this offseason has seemed to go by fairly quickly for me!

the jackets have a lot of young talent including the return of derrick brassard (who i couldn't be happier to see back in the line up!). they should be even better this year than last year which SHOULD mean a playoff berth is almost a given! now what they do with it after they get there is up to them, but if they can stay healthy, i see no reason they shouldn't be able to do a little better than last year's playoff run. :)

god i can't fucking wait!

wow, the season hasn't even started yet and the interest is almost 2nd page status already!

anyways, the jackets already have a solid first powerplay unit in brassard, nash, huselius, tyutin, and umberger. barring injuries, that's a potent attack!

im a little nervous about the Rangers this season
they aren't doing great at the moment

even though its not official really, they lost to Boston AND New Jersey earlier this week
don't know if this is gonna be a good season

G'day folks, I'm back! Ready for another season. Got two fantasy teams (Ryan, you'll be pleased to hear I picked up Brassard for one of them) and looking for a rebound from the Oilers.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

they're AIGHT, but matthew barnaby picked them to win the fucking cup this year! LOLOL

the sharks can't do anything in the playoffs and they've lost more talent than they've gotten this off season, how anyone can project them to win the cup this year when they've flopped in the past, is beyond me. especially when they've got the red wings and black hawks to get through just to GET to the cup. the wings and hawks are easily the top two teams in the west this season.

somehow i never saw this post!

brassard, IMO, was a good pick up. the kid was sick last year prior to his injury, and now he's got some more youth and skill below him. let alone he's centering nash and huselius. the kid's got a GREAT hocky IQ.

btw, the jackets won their season opener tonight!

brassard looked good, though didn't pick any points up. filatov and voracek both looked good too. mason... solid as a ROCK!

what a great game tonight
Rangers win agaisnt the Senators 5-2, these new guys on the team are making a huge difference especially Marian Gaborik
also, Brandon Dubinsky played a great game tonight, he scored 2 goals :)

i wanted to post this bc i love the excitement

jesus... after the canucks started the season 0-3, they came out tonight guns blazing against the habs. beat em up 7-1. montreal didn't look particularly good, but that's not to take ANYTHING away from vancouver, they played pretty damn well. i feel bad for price getting the start in his native BC and givin up 7 goals though. in his defense, a good portion of them were simply not his fault. he had no defense in front of him tonight. the nucks on the otherhand, practically could do no wrong.

the highlight of the night though was probably rick rypien (5'11") fighting hal gill (6'7") and actually making a fight of it! nobody hit the ice in that tussle!

mathieu garon got a shutout tonight in his starting debut for the jackets. we killed 7 penalties... count em 7!!! including two 5 on 3's and a double minor. our transition was shit hot tonight!
