Aloha to all, I have just moved to Az after living on Kauai in Hawaii for over 40 years and found this website through Google. I am a insulin dependant diabetic who went through cancer surgery and radiation for cancer in my tonsils and they did get all the cancer but I have struggled with the trauma from the radiation and Pain issues I have had for years that are worse now. I am in the process of trying to find a good doctor since I am considered a complex mediacal case. Through the years the doctors have had me on a lot of different pain medications and the latest was 750 Vicodin but even when used rarely it would cause consitpation like I have never had in my life( only vicodin seems to cause this). My doctor was going to start me on 10mgs of Morphine once a day but I had to leave ( Family crisis) before he was able to get me a prescription. I am having problems even getting to see a doctor here in Lake Havasu City and the 1 that I did see told me I was to complex for him to write any pain medication prescriptions for. I must say this website seems to be very informative and am glad I found it. Can anyone else who lives in Az tell me how the state is about doctors prescribing pain medications, especially Morphine. My last prescription is about to run out and am hoping the next doctor is sympathetic to my medicinal needs. Aloha,Wildog

Aloha theotherside, I see you are a moderator and I take it also the welcome committee. This is a really good site and hope that it will be a good one for research since a lot of times it seems people know more than the Doctors. Is there a link to any where's that might have information on how the different states treat people in pain or how the states treat the doctors who prescribe pain meds. Aloha,Wildog
