New Perth Based Drug Info Site

I caught a quick glimpse of a new website based in Perth going along the same lines as this one, well almost. Their idea is to educate the kiddies about the nasties of drugs in the attempt to put them off use, well this is what I gather from the news report.
The site is actually really good, well laid out, easy to move about and is full of really good information about any drug you could think of using.
So I thought I'd give em a plug

They also think heroin and cocaine are put into some pills... Still reading, but not impressed...
Designer Drugs? Ketamine? GHB? Seriously... No mention of drugs similar to GHB either...
All-in-all its not that bad a site, but there's no new information, and the info they give isn't backed up anywhere near well enough...

I don't know - it just looks like the standard mix of half-truths and propagander to me... it seems to me that while it acknowledges that people will use drugs and tries to keep them safe, it still can't seem to get past the false notion that drug users are a class of their own and not everyday people with everyday jobs. And while it does have some good information, it still seems a tad too preachy for my liking.
I've given this site about 45mins worth of reading - if there are any examples that I've missed that portray the site in a better light then can someone please quote it or post a link to the specific page... thanks...

Only briefly checked the site, but I thought Drug Aware was a government initiative?

Yeah... checked it out more fully... its been commisioned by the government... all of the contact email addys are at the health dept.

Personally i thought it wasnt bad, simply because for such a large amount of information there were few errors.
The taking care sections for each drug were good, and its the first time any government run drug institution has touched on even the slightest bit of harm reduction.
I have already emailed them about the designer drug tag; K, G, PCP and AMYL(??!!!) designer drugs?? I tried to define it for them and suggested K and PCP be grouped as dissociatives under hallucinogens, GHB given its own heading and a separate section on inhalants (amyl, nitrous, solvents)
Also the excessive water intake section for MDMA was very poorly explained, and they even suggested drinking isotonic sports drinks was not a good idea because they caused dehydration! Big boo-boo there. I think they meant energy drinks.
But you guys are right; they should perhaps have a section on drug culture and the idea that there are many types on individuals that might decide to use such drugs.
Personally as this is a government run site, they should put their money where their mouth is and publish lab results of various "XTC" seizures, if MDMA is not found.
