New to Bluelight, though I have occasionally lurked here. I’m sure I’m not the only one here who has a medical condition that necessitates the use of benzos, but who also really has come to enjoy how they feel. I have been prescribed valium for a chronic pain condition for over a year now - 10 mg 2x/day. I call my doc once a month for a refill, and as long as she’s seen me in the last month, she calls it in to the pharmacy.

Last month, a nurse told me I’d have to start testing monthly bc of new compliance guidelines. Not only to ensure I’m not taking other substances, but to be sure I’m not selling. Well, I am not taking other substances. But 3 weeks ago I sustained a torn muscle and and ate up the remaining pills like candy.

I am supposed to drug test tomorrow morning. It will have been just shy of two weeks since I took my last dose. So my concern is not “will I test positive for drugs”…it is “will I test negative for drugs” when I want to test positive lol. I know valium has a long half life for a urine drug screen. I’m just wondering the likelihood of testing negative, as I don’t want my doc to think I’m selling (I’m not). Other factors: I am female, an avid endurance athlete whose, fitness age is 20 according to Garmin, my bmi is 18.5 so I don’t have a lot of body fat. Thanks for any and all insight!

That's rough.. assuming 52 hr half life and 7 half lives is assumed out of your system, (52x7)%24 that means about 15 days until you pass the test. Are you gonna get cut off if you pass?

Welcome to Bluelight. So, we don't really allow drug testing questions here, even though this is not really a "how do I pass a piss test?" question, it still basically falls into his category, so I will have to close this. It would be irresponsible of us to speculate. Check out this sub forums guidelines here:

I will say that in my personal experience, I tested positive for benzodiazepines for at least a month after ceasing use of diazepam, so take that as you will. And unfortunately, there's not really anything you can do to "make" yourself test positive, it either will or won't be. Hopefully that helps a bit.
