Almost forty years after guitar legend Jimi Hendrix died at the age of 27, his estate will release an album of tracks that were recorded with the intention of releasing a follow-up album to "Electric Ladyland".

The album, entitled "Valleys of Neptune", will be out on March 9 with the single of the same name, set to be released on February 2. The album also features the work of his then-new bass player Billy Cox.

"´Valleys of Neptune´ offers deep insight into his mastery of the recording process and demonstrates the fact that he was as unparalleled a recording innovator as he was a guitarist," said his sister Janie Hendrix.

Sweet news =D

All i have for internet is a mobile phone, and it wouldn't bring up that web page. Does anyone know who's on drums for this album? I love mitch mitchell's crazy ass drumming, but the shit that really gets me is the band of gypsys shit with buddy miles. The bands groove seems a lot more in the pocket and funky. Either way it will be cool to hear.
