the other month my idiot friend got mad, smashed his high end gaming laptop with a hammer, and tossed it by the dumpster.
i couldn't just let something like that go to waste without seeing if it was worth anything

aside from the initial cost, i'm pretty sure i remember him talking about how he had put like 1000 dollars extra dollars on upgrades etc.

my intention was to try and salvage it, but i'm in desperate need of cash so i can support my addiction to hard narcotics, so I'm trying to find out if perhaps there might be parts that could possibly be sold or maybe the whole things fixable and i could take it to a computer repair/resale place and get some money there.

the hard drive had crashed once, and when he smashed the computer it was because of some kind of blue screen.

i guess it's an asus model g73j i can't take a better picture because I had to use MY laptops webcam to take this one.
(my last valuable possession.)

rrr dunno how to make the pic work

the screen is fucked, it won't turn on... is there any hope?
is there anything i should be looking for that i might able to sell ?

take the ram, dvd drive, hard drive and processor out. the laptop has a pretty nice video card but i'm not sure if it's easy to get out.

The battery is also worth money if it's new or relatively so, as is the AC adapter if you have it. You're going to have to somehow test the parts (the internal ones at least). A computer store will do it for a price. I think finding a person to buy this stuff is more of a problem.

If there's a windows 7 cdkey/serial on the actual laptop you may be able to sell that really cheap

if it's just the screen that is actually fucked you can replace it, you can get one for around $100. I think you'll need some tech skills to be able to repair it and get it going though. A computer store won't do it for a reasonable amount.

also there are people on ebay who will buy a broken laptop, probably not for much but it's better than nothing

If it's just the screen, bezel, or pretty much any part, it can pretty much be repaired fairly cheep and sold on a local classified site. Check ebay for the parts. Maybe you should stop being a junky and get on a good hustle besides trying to make a few bucks off a computer that your retarded dumb fuck friend broke because he has no self control? I've had addiction problems in the past but I still have managed to pay all my bills and buy as much drugs as needed.
