Never had the magic from mdma

So my friend has taken mdma about 5 times, and each time he takes it he says that he gets just an amphetamine buzz and feels really energetic, but doesn't get the "magic", never has and doesn't know what it is.

Is it possible for someone to just never have the magic in the first place? They say they like the amphetamine buzz and would continue to take mdma. I do know they were on anti-depressants for about 3 months (SSRI) and were depressed for quite a long time before that.

Ssri's and mdma are a dangerous combination as serotonin syndrome may occur. Mdma doesn't work well on an ssri anyways, so you will have a dulled or weird high with little euphoria.

You may just be doing amphetamines instead of mdma, unless you are reagent testing your product. Lot's of dealers sell amphetamines and stimulant rc's that they lable as mdma, when they are anything but.
