disease demonstration prevention act for santa clara county CA

are you talking about the Disease Prevention Demonstration Project (DPDP)?

If the pharmacy is in a county or city which implements the Disease Prevention Demonstration Project, then the pharmacist may sell up to 10 hypodermic needles and syringes to a person 18 years of age or older. This provision of the law will expire on December 31, 2010.

google is your friend :) check out this document from the county of santa clara for more details.

thank you so much the last time I got needles the pharmacist sold them to me but he didn't include the demonstration flyer.
I always wondered what the point of the flyer was. Will it keep you from getting charged for needles with out a prescription if you are arrested?
In philly you can get a card or something to keep the cops from taking your needles and not charging you with illegal needles. Is there anything like that in santa clara county?

^ i would recommend calling the Santa Clara County Public Health Pharmacy to get further clarification: 408-792-5175. good luck!

(also the doc link in my last post seems to have expired or something? here it is again for any other interested parties.)
