Need to know salvia divinorum cutting will still grow

Ok so this is my first post on this site, so im not quite sure where it belongs :/ anyway, SWIM recently aquried a salvia divinorum cutting, but its only about three inches long, incredibly thin, and only a centimeter remains under the node. can this still be grown? or is it too messed up to grow? does SWIM even need to use SWIM for this? salvia is legal after all...

p.s. this is SWIMs first time growing salvia

It will grow, give it time.

Just put it in a shot glass with a tiny bit of water. Seal the glass with plastic wrap and change the water daily. Roots shoot form in one or two weeks.

oh good. getting those clippings isnt easy, i live in a small suburban area with a moderatly expensive cost of living. and when i used SWIM, i wasnt sure if this site required it or not. im aware that it wont protect you, but ive seen other people on this site use it. i take it that its not mandatory?

I've rooted smaller cuttings. Have no fear. Bubbles will make it root faster, I used to use an aquarium bubbler in a small vase to root my cuttings.


SWIM is not only not mandatory, it is prohibited!

lol i didnt know it was that serious to use SWIM. and could someone tell me if i need to be spraying these with water? the plant they were taken from was an outdoor plant and was growing just fine...

You could do that, I just put food bags over mine to retain the humidity from the water in the vase. Cos I'm lazy.
